Looks like Daddy sorted him out - so did our former "Number 1" for his daughter.

Bummer these kids never had to throw a bag, clean an oleo or wipe up the spew of his/her indigenous passengers.

why are you all so bitter, you guys who come on here to complain need to either retire or just get over it

Work smart, not hard.

Good for him.

Everyone knows this industry is 99% luck, to bag on this guy just shows your resentment at your own stupidity.

How about a simple "Well done" to the young man. Bloody good effort!

Sorry, but 19 years old is too young to be in control of an airliner. Sure, supervised, but still.

I'm sure he is a great kid and very competent. But age does matter, especially when making decisions.

Some of us love our kids to the extent that we are happy to sacrifice our standard of living to support them in their dreams. Daughter has lived in an Aboriginal community and done all you post, and then some.

Different folks get there by different means, doesn't mean any are undeserving of a seat in row 0. Good on the lad, and hope he has a long and satisfying career.

He will only be as good as the training and mentoring he receives. If he were military he could well be seated in the front seat of a 737 airframe, C-130, P-3, F-18. Entry age in RAAF is 17.
