winner, winner, chicken dinner !!

RH and AT must be singing "winner, winner, chicken dinner".................seems the crisis will be averted by the imposed "Pay rise"...if ever there was a time for CC...........................THIS IS IT.....................

They certainly have a hopelessly outdated sense of "Staff relations". If you set out to really piss off an entire group of employees, you couldn't do it better. 'Well done, Boss. You are bigger and more powerful than me so you win."
"I will still try to save your fuel and go the extra mile to help so actually, I deserve to be treated with such incredible disdain."

To think they could've won us over with maybe a percent here or there, being respectful and use the union to strike a deal.
I want to work for a company that inspires me.
I want to help out and work together side by side towards a common goal.

Why are they so hellbent on pi55ing off everybody, I will never understand.

Life is too short to let the poison of Cathay Pacific infect you.

If you don't like it, do something else, and live a happy and content life.

Take a f'in chance. Do it.

These people are psychopaths.

The Col is correct

Anyone in their first 3 or 4 years must be made to realise that what is going on now is SOP and the behaviour only declines over time. Whilst there are bad experiences worldwide, I can assure you that in my opinion you are experiencing the worst of the worse when it comes to playing loose with peoples futures. Many people in the past have learned the hard way.

Plan a way out, perhaps not tomorrow, but make a plan.

There is no future here.

Lol, God you lot are dimwits.
You all think contract compliance is the answer, despite the fact most of you are already in it.
Do you realise how you'll look in the media: "we gave them a 4% payrise , and yet still they strike" (the term they'll use)
Are you supporting your Kiwi mates? A year one skipper earns over $1.7million per year (84 CREDIT hours per month) and pays only 15% tax. Inflation in NZ barely 1%

Keep the CC in your back pocket for 2015 negotiations.

Captain Dart 27th Nov 2014 18:40

OoooOOOooh! The MEDIA! Anyone would think those greedy pilots work for Mother Teresa incarnate. Who cares? We are Hong Kong contract workers, and we get what we negotiate.

If the media b.s. and the self-righteous letters to the SCMP that seem to magically pop up whenever pilots merely want to keep up with inflation bother you, don't read it. RH and his lackeys will rave on about it but it's all irrelevant. I've seen it all before.

If the media hacks, bloggers, company stooges and 'the wider Cathay community' don't like what CX pilots earn for their skills and safety record, they can go fly with a mainland carrier or a 'low cost' for all I care. And I'm sure Malaysian and Asiana are offering good deals right now.
