Calgary Crew Hotel

Enjoy the walk from the Airport Terminal to your Crew Hotel freighter boys.

Chicago is anywhere from 52 to 75.

Keep up Aquis......CX805

This company really is starting to annoy me. On a three day layover you get put in a crappy airport hotel. On numerous split duties where you only get to spend a few hours in the room there is about an hours travel time taken from your rest. Yeah, safety is the top priority.

AQIS Boigu 13th Oct 2014 16:39

Nike,

I take it all back..I thought they just merge the two into a 40hr layover

etopsmonkey 13th Oct 2014 18:42

Rent a car from the airport and drive around the town or the great Albertan wilderness.

nike 14th Oct 2014 00:11

AQIS, understandable thinking!

etopsmonkey,

your suggestion is feasible how many months per year? 2? 3? Plus, the time difference to Hong Kong is how many hours? Are you serious??

In order to reduce cost of a freighter pattern by zero point zero something, Cathay ruines our quality of life... It's exactly the kind of respectless treatment that will cost them any good will of their pilots, I doubt the saved figure is higher in the end.

Disgraceful.

letsfly75 14th Oct 2014 04:09

Well now I'm really excited about my 72 hour layover. This'll be awesome.

etopsmonkey 14th Oct 2014 06:02

Never been to Calgary, but I have feeling it is a boring town. No matter where the crew hotel is located will not make any difference.

joejet 14th Oct 2014 09:14

Never met etopsmonkey, but I have feeling he is an idiot. No matter what he writes it will not make any difference.

Delta hotels tend to be nice hotels. I've used them many times while traveling in Canada. Nicer than the Sheraton YVR or Hilton LAX. Never been to the one in Calgary.

jacobus 14th Oct 2014 10:23

It doesn't matter ferchrissakes. The Marriott suites at O'Hare are pretty nice ( save breakfast which is diabolical), however it's still in the middle of nowhere. As this hotel in Calgary is. The strong rumour is that if this works out we may end up bypassing ANC altogether due to refuelling problems.
Joy. Deep joy.
Just another example of freighter guys getting treated like untermensch again. Good job there's no money in freight and we don't contribute anything to the bottom line.
D don't know etc. should be forced to spend a week or two in thee places. Sadly he'd probably enjoy it.
