CX address

Can anyone kindly let me know the postal address of the flight crew recruitment department at CX?

Who is the current pilots recruitment manager and any direct email address to him or her?

Thank you.

You look like the perfect recruit for the 'Best Airline in the World'.
With all the resources of the Interweb at your disposal, you choose to ask for the postal address of your future employer on Pprune!
Anyway - here we go :-

Cathay Pacific Airways
Janitor Recruitment Department
Hong Kong Airport
Hong Kong

Good luck - special attention required on the 3rd Floor. Bad smells coming from up there.

Can I ask why you haven't thought about joining VETA? Its a great Airline! Totally recommend it. I'm not sure who manages it or where it is actually based. Can't help you with any contacts I'm afraid but if you would like to join us you could fire of an email to the French Police and ask them for an information pack.:ok:

Another option to consider young chap is ASL.

Back door entry to a Cathay jet job, circumventing pesky seniority.

They don't use 'postal' address anymore. No more Snails to deliver anymore lah..

This is the 21 century.

Before you send the pigeon:

How tall are you?
Can you fit in a maid's room?
How much do you value your dignity?
Can you survive on a diet of noodle soup and airline catering?
Is McDonalds really not hiring where you live?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you prefer your employer to hate and despise you?
Do you have any solid experience in bedmaking in confined spaces?
Are you adept at balancing your basic survival needs, the necessity for some days off and the respect from your colleagues, assuming all are mutually exclusive?

At stage one of testing your hair will be checked for a minimum amount of "spikeyness". If successful at stage one you will then have a practice photo shoot to see if you can be used in "promotional" material.

There is also a recent change stating that you must have participated in at least 3 "flash mobs" in the last 12 months.

Please dress suitably for the initial assessment interview.

When ordering the above uniform please remember to select long sleeves if you are aspiring for a London Base, the colour orange for Paris and sleeveless for an Australian base.

McDonalds

Did you know that most new SO's have to subsidise their rent by as much as half? After rent & tax you will have little more than $400AUD a week to live on. That's just over $50 a day to cover your food, insurance, domestic / household bills, travel costs, health cover, internet / TV, & social life. That's assuming you have no kids, no wife, no car, no hobbies, don't drink & never have a holiday.

You will NEVER own your own place in HK & the hours you accumulate as an SO are totally worthless at any other airline in the world.

I hate to say it but joining CX these days really is a terrible option for anyone! Buy working 40hrs a week at McDonalds with a half day on the weekends will get paid more, plus you can generally eat the time expired food when you are hungry. You still get to wear a uniform & a hat, but they are just a different colour. As a bonus, McDonalds wont put you in the sim every three months !

betpump5 18th Aug 2014 12:12

400 aus a week is roughly 3000HKD or 12000HKD a month. A second year SO including HKPA brings in circa 55K a month gross. Something tells me that Rent and Tax does not come to 43K per month- the SOs I fly with constantly travel on their 18-20 days off per month and seem to be spending 2-4K a weekend in lkf.

But why let Facts get in the way of putting people off from joining CX.

Public Service

Discouraging honest people from joining CX is a public service and is to be encouraged.
Jet man, no matter how desperate you are, do not even think for a nano second about applying, you will regret it for the rest of your life.

Race to the bottom 18th Aug 2014 14:59

XFR8 is so right!

Don't do it, you will regret it for the rest of your life and don't think for one minute that the contract you are signing will not degrade any further. If you think you can make the sums work now, fine, work on a 20% reduction on income in 10 years time and then compare that to inflation. My Mrs is working the corner of Nathen and Waterloo while the kids have got them selves a part time job packing fireworks.

Pulling together as a family we seem to survive. If you haven't got a family to put to work you are off your rocker!

Best of Luck!

Not at all.....You can sign up for your entitlements, and then immediately attempt to get on the AOA GC to demand more at the expense of others! The word "increase" does not exist in the company dictionary, unless you look at it upside down.

RTTB..... She works in Watson's???
