Zhuhai
What about the sycophants dining with the enemy because they landed at Zhuhai?
|
Thanks for making me look that stupid word up with Google.
So 3rd floor calls you up and offers you and your crew a nice meal for doing an outstanding job on a difficult divertion. A nice gesture, not something that common these days.... You'd really say 'no, thank you'? Besides, maybe it's good for them to hear what it can be like on the front line sometimes and that our goodwill, professionalism and loyalty can be worth something, even-though it won't show up in a spreadsheet. |
Precisely, I'd say "No thank you, I was just doing my job" and deny them their photo op. That's all it is for them saying, "Look, we're aren't all that bad." Yes, you are. Stop pretending otherwise. They will lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want. They are a truly awful group.
|
You'd really say 'no, thank you'? I would rather eat broken glass whilst doing an extra PC/RT than spend any voluntary time with anyone from that floor (test pilots excepted). |
I agree with the sentiment that I would politely decline any offers of PR (and dinner) in recognition of managing an extended diversion.
Part of the job. However... I would stop short of calling the guys who did so "sycophants". @Jzt... his name is in the spotlight. Why don't you approach the Captain and call him that name. Please report back and tell us how that goes. Another anonymous hero. |
And he is a hell of a nice guy too.
Out of line. |
Interesting.... And how long did it take for the company to recognize the Surabaya crew who had a lot more to deal with on their hands?
|
Well I'm not trying to defend the company but the SUB crew were subject to a comprehensive investigation by CAD etc, it would have been premature and inappropriate for CX to comment while the investigation was ongoing.
|
I've clearly missed something.
Zhuhai? When?? |
hang on a minute...
they get all this fanfare for what the airbus crews do on a daily basis... although the airbus crews would actually nominate an alternate that is an online port that wouldn't require a divert to china (non-online port)... somewhere like taipei or beijing..... a sensible crew would have done this.... so again - you **** up in cathay and get rewarded... |
Not sure about Baywatchers' weaning habits, however I'd like to know what kind of domestic animal life form you were suckled on as a child TT. 3 languages or not they must have repeatedly dropped you on the head.
|
Insulting little prick aren't you.:=
Now fark off to the little hole from which you came.:D |
Well that escalated quickly, well done everyone.
|
Just perhaps the crew did not realise that they would be used as a PR stunt. So perhaps just another example of CX spin.
|
Captain involved is a class act, you could learn a thing or two from him, eclan.
It is not required to send a message by not showing up for a get-together like this. In fact it would sent an extremely bad example of CRM and support for the cabin crew who did a great job as well. Let the AOA send the messages for us, that's what we pay them for, don't we? Foolish to stick your neck out by yourself, don't be silly. |
Hi Curtain,
I agree with you. Still, berating the Captain for showing up for a thank you dinner is going too far. |
Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
|
So true Rod
