KA Captain sacked after 20 years service
The former head of the DPA was dismissed by the KA Chief Pilot along with the AGMO n the other goons. Great big grins were seen across several on the 2 nd floor.
All so sad and pointless. Unless you consider the cost of replacement with a junior FO upgrade. But wait , i hear the pilots are fighting back ;) |
Sacked by the Chief Pilot?
Maybe I'm way outta touch but I was always of the opinion a CP, was there to attempt to look after the interests of his/her pilots. To try and protect them from bulling management and management pilots. That is what I always tried to do when I was in the job. |
If it is indeed who I have heard rumored to have been dismissed it is very sad news.
Before moving across the road I flew with him alot and you couldn't find a nicer gentleman aviator with the classic phrase "have a nil further day" I hope he is successful with any appeals. The Cav |
Not the KA CP anker, complete scumbag
Was it a legitimate reason?
UNRELIABLE SOURCE says something about not adhering to policy regarding visits to flight deck is what got him :uhoh:
After 20 years service? You think there could be a bit of flexibility shown by management - typical knee jerk reaction, IMO
Typical
At best it warrants one year loss of seniority and a letter on file, nothing more. I think departing with gear pins in is a far more serious event yet look what happened there.
Or nearly crashing a 747 in the UK Black cloud, look what happened there :rolleyes:
Or ripping the L1 door off when pushing back. Look what happened there.
Or telling the 340 pilot who banged the tail on rotate out of AKL that it was ok to press on to HKG. Look what happened there!
Oh, didn't realize he had form. :}
Difficult for anyone to put up a defense. |
