Crew Bus Accident
 

After last Friday's crew bus accident, 16 of the 17 cabin crew went to the hospital. The 2 pilots and 1cabin crew went back to CX City without going to the hospital. Nobody sustained any serious injuries.

So, what happened?:

A) The pilots were the only ones with any situational awareness and were able to actually able to notice the impending collision and hang on.

B) The opportunistic cabin crew were fine, but jumped at the opportunity to fake an injury to get paid to not have to work.

C) Everyone who was Facebooking dropped their phones and were so traumatized about the disruption to the most important thing in their lives, that they needed medical attention.

D) All of the above.

Quite a judgmental post there Pogie.

More to the point, will the cabin crew's hospitalization and subsequent sick leave be counted as an "absence" in their sickness management programme???

Is it possible that

a) the crew bus was rammed from behind, and therefore:

b) those sitting closest to the front of the bus (presumably the pilots) were the least affected

c) those sitting towards the rear of the bus (presumably the cabin crew) were most affected and sustained the worst of the injuries?

d) all of the above

What a stereotypical and condescending post. Boring.
It is this kind of holier-than-thou and hypocritical attitude that is on display that makes other lose respect for pilots. I am sure none of us pilots are opportunistic.

A)

And by extension any pilot who gets injured in a car accident should be deemed to have little or no situation awareness.

Anyone actually know what happened?

This is simply indicative of the times we live in. Any declaration of injury will help future claims against third parties should they arise. Whether it is cabin crew wanting time off for 'recovery' or finding out they have injuries later on that day that affect them or perhaps just overly cautious types who want to be checked out by doctors, they are different to most of the cockpit crew who I suspect even with cuts and bruises would refuse to deal with the hassle of a hospital but shrug it off and just head home instead.

This isn't just our industry...anyone remember last year when the neice of that high-ranking Hong Kong judge slapped a traffic policeman in the face? He crumpled down onto the floor clutching his head like a school-girl then got medical attention. Do you really think he was in that much pain or was it all done for show so that he or the police would have a stronger case? Although......
