Moving to HK, phone\internet\TV package ?
Hello,
I am moving to HK...and you can go ahead with the banter, the insults and so on ! Now that we are through formalities.... I will be leaving in DB (more formalities?), can anyone please suggest a good provider for phone, internet and TV possibly in one package. Thanks a lot |
Banter!!!! Insult!!!!!!!!
Sorry, can't answer your question. |
Simply step out of your house and be part of the Truman Show. For free!

DB
In DB you will have less to go for.
For broadband you can pick one of: PCCW, offers better cable TV than internet but a good combo Hutchinson, good internet but no cable TV Hong Kong Broadband, new guy on the block, think they are ok For mobile phone, Pretty much same but Smartone is probably best for DB 3 offers good deals but not working to well in some parts of DB As always you can pick 1 or 2 for bundle but if you want the best you need to mix.... |
I would recommend just starting off with 2 mobile phones (if married!) and a fast broadband only deal.
Then talk to people here about tv. Personally I used to have NOW tv but it was rubbish so I stopped at the earliest opportunity. I now get tv through the internet from my home country using a VPN (Strong works for me but there are many providers). I hear that some people also use a bit torrent programme but that may be illegal... |
Thanks to all of the guys offering some advice, you can indulge in a little banter or insult if you prefer, YOU deserved it ! Thanks again
Cheers |
1) Don't come, the pollution may kill you and your family.
2) Chinese food may do irreparable damage to your DNA and that of your offsprings. 3) Say a wrong thing and you may end up in a Chinese gulag up north. 4) You will get ear ache from the endless whinning and whinging of expats. 4) You may run into fooeys and some insurance sounding guys who may drive you mental with their aryan thingy....etc |
I see the south african troll is back.

For mobile coverage in DB, I found 3 fairly average, but good customer service.
PCCW gave better coverage, but their customer service is great when you buy packages from them, but sucks when you have a problem. Caveat emptor! Don't forget the air purifiers, get the kids name down for schools 2 years before they are born, keep an eye on your wife if certain mangment(sic) pilots come visiting, and bring a double helping of sense of humour. Oh and did I mention the pollution? Good luck and (as implied), welcome to the Truman show:ok: |
Kintea, time off from the cotton fields ?
PCCW the best of the worst....enjoy |
He has his rod up your chimney? You might have felt he was orbitting uranus:ok:
