Staff travel
Hi all,
With this new I journey, do we get charge if we don't turn up after listing for a flight? Thanks, The sheep |
Same as before, no, it's a FLOWN ticket.
|
But if you had an eticket for a 8 am departure, and you show up at 9 am, do you then have to reissue another eticket for the 10 am departure? Or can you use the 8am eticket?
|
Yes I think that is the case but with this new system you can't list or get a ticket within 4 hours of the departure time. Obviously this is because of catering as who in there right mind would want to fly back home to be with their family if they cant have a crappy meal during the flight.
It would be far to hard for the already swamped, due to helping out traveling staff, staff travel check in desk to say you may not get a meal, do you still want to travel? |
I think you can just "roll" the eticket to the next flight, as long as on same day
|
Go show?
But the etickets seem to have 3 month validity, can you just show up later without being listed and quote your ticket number?
|
Passenger full fare etickets are valid a year.
I've not read anything (either way) on staff eticket validity, but can't imagine it's only valid for the single day or flight. The issue will be listing. You can't seem to list on PSS without a new eticket. It would have to be done by ground staff if you had your eticket number. Someone please correct me either way, but that's my 2 pence. Edit: just read post above and it sounds correct. if you've got the eticket you should be able to 'go show' |
Cool, thanks!

SloppyJoe the 4 hour rule is nothing to do with catering.

Why 4 hours? The 4 hour limit is in place to assist our Airport colleagues so that proper arrangements can be made to secure catering for passengers booked/listed for a flight. It is also the point when no further updated information can be passed from the reservations/ticketing systems to the airport departure control systems. |
Good Morning Sir, how are you today?
I know you are a first class diamond member but i am really sorry...its only 3 hours and 55 minutes to departure but there is nothing we can do to help you today. And even if we could get you on, you would have to have an economy meal....by the toilet! Ever wonder whether we get told a load of bollocks sometimes? |

Oasis, I think to get it rolled over to the next flight, you need to have turned up for the first one.
You originally said that the flight was for 8am and you turned up at 9am. I think like the old days it would be the same as listing for a flight but not canceling the listing if you weren't taking the flight. You don't get charged, but you probably go onto some "secret" rolling list of about 50 pilots. |
