What do you actually check at "20/10/5 above "??

I thought it could be :

- you are in a RR equipped aircraft and the engines are still running

- Approaching HKG you want to make sure the pollution is still there

- You are in the cockpit with an Ex-RAF officer and it would be simply rude not to say "check" from time to time

Am I correct??

20,10,5 are there for us to remind the cabin crew of their duties and tasks. They are extremely busy and our responsibilities are not that many during the light workload phase of descent and approach. Besides, that is the safest phase of flight, no controlled rest taking place then. :O
