So he says CX won't be starting a low cost airline........ Can only mean one thing....They are!

They're going "low cost" with the salary scales instead ;)

The Oz based pilots already get paid less than the local LCCs

We've been a budget airline for a while now. I can add to your list:

High aircraft utilisation
Extremely pliable workforce/weak employment laws
No real request sytem or bid line
No control over leave
No training, just checking (cos thats cheaper)


These (and more) are all hallmarks of LCCs.

In some ways this is perfect: low cost up the front, premium fares.

All we have to do now is get rid of the @#$$ hats!

Oh no! I like the hats: its the only thing that still distiguishes us from the cleaners...
