Does a roster swap over Xmas violate CC?

My G days for his duty - will give us both Xmas day with family.

Discuss.

No! Mutual exchanges are of no benefit to anyone except ourselves.

Some How I'm Tired 9th Dec 2010 00:27

No probs

Mate, a roster swap is absolutely no problems under any circumstances. As long as you don't accept a G Day payment from the company or work or answer your phone when you shouldn't, there are no problems!

Have a great Christmas, and enjoy your family. It doesn't happen often enough in this job.

Will Dick's defensive rostering (DDR) allow swaps?

Bograt 9th Dec 2010 00:55

We'll see...

We are not in CC. So what's the problem

Swaps OK

Straight swaps are fine under CC.

I've always been in CC. Always.

The issue has nothing to do with whether its the needs or your family or not. Is your swap going to give the company more credit hours than before the swap? If not, no problem, but in most cases this is not the case so CANNOT! Contract compliance is not some game where you think only you are the winner! If the company is going to make any financial gain from your swap then CANNOT!
Because if they have more credit hours in total than before your swap then someone else is losing out over overtime, they win!
Real CC is not a game, get real!!

I was already getting home for Xmas with the family (G days). This swap would enable both of us to be home. Probably wasn't clear with the first post.

And it was disapproved anyway.

And it was disapproved anyway.
Why am I not surprised.
