Swap Question - O into G
 

Hey swap gods,

Can someone please help me with this??

For a G day swap with an O day. Having met all the other million swap criteria, BUT can CC disapprove by giving a reason "needed to have him or her on O day just incase?"

Depends on where the O day was placed on the roster.

If the O day was at or close to the end of a trip they probably wouldn't swap it. Gives them another chance to use the excuse "due roster disruption".

Call 8193 (That's CC Supv) and explain your dilemma to him/her. I have done this on numerous occasions and managed to swap it to a G.

If they are still playing 'hard ball', consider speaking to or sending CH a groupwise explaining what you want. There's nothing wrong in asking, at least you can say you've exhausted all avenues.

be aware that a g day is 36 hours and a o day is 34 hours. Makes a difference when two are together. ie. 60 hours rest or 58 hours rest. as a consecutive o, or g day is 24 hours.

Yeah, you can't swap for that if you'll only get 34 hours off instead of 36, but they can roster you for it! I have , a few times, called CC and asked to change an O to a G, as long as that G comes from my roster, later in the month. No problems so far.
