Incorrect Weekly Updates
In the latest update NR claims that from 1 Jul 10 CX will be 'adding back 3x weekly services between HKG and SYD'. CX161/162 has been a daily service since 28 Nov last year after being removed from the schedule for a few months.
Where does he get his info from and what other bits of info in the update are incorrect? Before the standard smart a#$e comments are made, YES I do read the updates, I can afford to spend 2 minutes of my life seeing what management want us to know. This does mean that I believe everything I read. |
3 additional flights per week to the already existing daily service?
|
Sand Man
Yes I read this the same way as you, i.e. a reduction of 4 flights a week from the 1st July. |
No big picture skills or schedule awareness, this shows a lack of insight in my opinion. A manager should know what his company is up to.
Back in the air force we were groomed the right way to succeed in life no matter what task was presented to us. Air Force = Success Perfection & Excellence. If the entire airline was recruited from predominantly Air Force personnel then we wouldn't have these issues. Things need to change, there are no standards anymore. :ugh: |
Love it Toss Pot
Unfortunately they must have forgotten to teach how to read or to check your facts before mouthing off about something you don't really know about or I guess any kind of intelligence. Glad to have you in charge of a big red button. Can't believe I'm coming to Nick the Dicks defense, however as of mid March the fourth daily flight 161/162 has been dropped. So he is therefore quite correct in saying that there will be 3xadditional flights per week, as they will be resuming them again on days 1,3 and 5 (or something) from the 1st of July. What happened to calling the days of the week by their name? |
BBB, thanks for the info. This will make life interesting for the computers again
|
Bye Bye Baby
In other words I was correct. 161/162 will be reduced to 3x per week instead of the current 7x. Thanks:ok: |
Is Toss Parker 'The Management' in disguise?
b. |
I love your work, Toss! :D
|
Back when I was in the air force Bob Hawke used to request to have me for all his flights, that's because I could do the best landings.
When I was in the air force we used to brief the landing before it was conducted, we used to brief everything. We would brief the guy on how the brief would be conducted. Air Force = Success Perfection & Excellence. |
Pip Pip and hoorah for Capt Tosser!
Capt Toss, quite correct there me ole mate. But being a real Toss Pot I had you worked out and you were definitely standing out from all the others, so that's why I selected you.
Beers at the bar, hands waving in the air, an excellent example of airman-ship, if ever t'was. It a pity we can't get that sort of standard back - not the same, since you left. Your outstanding investment knowledge, management skills, deft handling of beer orders, help me become the Prime Minister we all know and love. An Ozzie little bleeder ya are mate! Onya! Regards, Bob. |
Hello Bob
Nice to hear from you ... long time no perfect landings hey? If you need advice on anything, from pet ants to hedge funds then please give me a shout I'll know more than the rest of them about most things. If you Wiki or Google my name you'll see me under The Guru subsection of the search results. Must run I'm designing a new brief for the G.A. guys that cant fly. SUCCESS PERFECTION EXCELLENCE |
Brief the guy on how the brief would be conducted......brilliant!! Watch out CX, that's next to come!!! LOL.

Hi Toss!
Like your style. You remind me very much of a young moustached ex. Royal Biffo F/O who flew with me and was never known for his humility! Us older captains were always grateful for your erudite advice. |
