Not real keen on kiwi's either apple, but prefer them to those who don't know when it's time to leave.

Hey Jack57 why don't you just fluff off!:ugh::ugh:

trevfly 3rd Oct 2008 20:02

The DEC's have been sorted, and 40 KA skippers are currently getting their upgrades..SORTED :ok:

Of course these guys dumped On the rest of us still stuck in KA Airbus , and grabbed the oh so kind offer by CX managers and trainers.

I presume they are riding high on the current wave of credit crisis and seem to enjoy bemoaning their mates who are sticking with KA.

Well at least we aint on the bottom of the CX seniority, just regular joe Airbus plodders.

volarecantare 3rd Oct 2008 22:10

Actually Mr Trev, I think your KA guys made a smart and gutsy move, most of them probably just to get back home with their families I would guess...you may like to consider that the likely integration of the seniority list will probably leave you much further down the list than they are I think you should really be careful your words do not come back to bite you on the bottom. Lets hope if that does happen those guys are gentlemanly enough not to throw back some of what you are giving them.:ouch: Know what I mean? It is never good to be bitter.:=
Those guys took a risk with very little support it seems. I can only presume if an Auzzie basing came up in a similar way many would have bitten off their hands to get it. Most of the criticism and came from Down Under lads who have zero interest or option of a UK base... bit hypocritical I think in that case for them to dictate to others.
If it works out well for them, fair game. :D

Trev, you have been ranting on about this for so long now, you need to talk to someone, its obviously eating you up inside. You seem to regret following the advice of the DPA on this one (if) you were qualified to apply. Remember you should know Unions have objectives too and so do those in them often not always personal. You need to make your own decisions for your own reasons and then take responsibility for the outcome.

Have to agree with Jack on this one. With the change of the GC, there now should be a change of the General Secretary/His Assistant. We need a change.:D:D

Can the members have a vote on this one? :ok::ok::ok:

I used to think like that, but an FO pointed out the truth to me, and I now strongly disagree with your statement.

-The secretary is a paid employee of the HKAOA, and his job is to do as the president/GC direct him.
-He was criticised by people for being too militant when ND told him to be militant.
-He was then criticised for being too friendly to the company when MG told him to build a better relationship with the company.
-Now, many of the email updates from the AOA are signed by him. I can only assume that he is doing as he is directed by PW & the new committee.

It seems to me that he has consistently acted in accordance with the direction of the president/GC, so where's the problem?

Help us all out

Jack,
you are obviously outraged and angry. I think that you should lead by example and resign in protest, that way it may open up a slot in the NZ basings for the multitude that apply every time.

Cheers.

Sorry to introduce some facts into the rhetoric, but JF was recruited for a very specific reason. He was to form a buffer between the management and the HKAOA negotiating team of the time, as the company was using intimidatory tactics against the HKAOA negotiating team. He came extremely well recommended, with an excellent track record in his previous life. Unfortunately, the company got in a real snit about the HKAOA retaining 'professional negotiators' (even though they had the enormous resources of ATY behind them to number crunch), and refused to talk to him, in fact at first he wasn't even allowed in the negotiating room. He acts under direction by the GC, although sometimes argues his case forcefully, but will always be limited by what (as ever ) the company allows..............as will any replacement..:ugh:

I have no problem with him or Cpt Weatherilt, who is an outstanding individual, in my opinion obviously.
