Any one attended Kingfisher singapore Rd show.. How much Kingfisher offering for A330 captains? I came to know , no commuter option is available..

A330 Line Captain USD$11,500 (6 weeks on 2 off) tax free
A330 Line Captain USD$12,650 (22 weeks on 4 off) tax free

Aus bases available in Syd possibly next year (subject to route approval of course).
Commuter contact available 5 months on 1 off.

Very ordinary accommodation provided in India for "non-commuter".

Overall, it looks pretty cr_p and was a very amateurish presentation from their HR guy.

New aircraft will have very low density seating with all the latest gadgets and may be a problem for long term competitiveness (about 230 pax for an A330).

Certainly not the best package in the industry as advertised unfortunately..........:*

When will these clowns ever learn. They could have read pprune to see how Emirates went with their road show. Would have saved them the trip and expenses!!!! Just because you advertise your package as world class etc doesnt mean we believe it!!!

Actually Kingfisher pay the Indian tax due on expat pilot salaries, so the quoted pay is nett. If Oz based possibly not taxed in India and therefore prehaps Kingfisher could pay your Aussie tax instead. Or if they are paying Indian tax for you this could reduce you tax liability in Australia, double tax agreement ?

Obviously one for the accountants.;)

Was an interesting presentation. Honest upfront team. 330, Mumbai or Dehli, 340 Bangalore. Very low housing. These are pretty expensive towns to live in. Bases on seniority. (fair enough). Interesting to offer bases to a place you don't fly to.

for FOs considering it, absolutely no chance of being upgraded. Both local pilots and regulators wont agree to it.

A350s and 380s coming, made it very clear expats wont be touching them. So it posed the question what happens to you when your type is replaced, and the 330 is a stopgap until the 350/380s come. They didn't answer this, it all seemed very temporary to me. (Personal opinion). It also meant 320 expat guys wont be going to the 330.

Unable to get an Indian ATPL, so you have to do renewals in the country of license issue.

Contract by law is for a maximum of 3 years, renewable by company evidently, but no proof of this, it is not in writing.

It just had the feel of expat pilot being a necessary evil, that they will replace as soon as possible.

Other gems, duty travel is on interline tickets... ie economy. Oh yeah, you do your renewals on your days off.

Check it out for yourself, but the rumour that it is the best deal going is absolute rubbish. There is not one component of this deal that is "the best in the industry".

Such a shame, I always wanted to work for a brewery.

Think you may have me confused me with someone else vermin, if you knew me, you would know I couldn't afford the US$100,000.00 bond SIA use to stop people voting with their feet. Plus they have hats... :) Plus there are way too many "EX" SIA guys at KA to learn from to make that airline an attractive option. Cleaner air though, thats about the only benefit.

SIAs package stacks up nicely compared to unemployment benefits though... (I always try to end on a positive note!) :} I love the way they bundle the bonus into the stated salary ammount, pilots arent financially savy at the best of times, but how stupid do these geese think the average captain is? :)

Anyone else feel like the airlines are hedging their bets that the US recession will spread to this region, and they can continue to crew their machines at substandard rates? Something has got to give... Aircraft are coming, crews arent. Interesting predicament.

They got some nerve looking for ex-pat pilots with such conditions. It is almost like they will have to park them if they don't get them. Good. :D

I hope the only thing they can find are rejects with dings and scrapes on their records. Serves them good.
