FedEx HKG March 1st
 

Was told today that FedEx will hire off the street for HKG beginning of next year. Don't know all the pay details etc but know the benefits/retirment and second and on pay for widebody FO is better that CX. The app window is open right now!!! HKG will be an A300/A310 Airbus base. Pay is 10 to 20$ more an hour than UPS as well. Leather jackets and not hats required. I think you must be a US citizen. Better deal I would think. Good luck.

Some issues raised there:

Age 65 will increase command time
Low housing allowance for HK (2700 USD I think)
No education allowance
Flights are from CAN, with long minibus trip before/ after duty

Consensus is that it is not a good deal, except as getting a toe hold on a big US carrier's seniority list - and that that may well be worth it for most!

Well with leather jackets can one really say no...
