Numero Crunchero thanks thats the sort of information I was after. Lifestyle is what I'm after so sounds like the 744 could be rather cool. 777 is a beaut machine and I would love an upgrade on that, but hey plenty can happen between now and then.

Thanks for you response.

CrusingSpeed...
BusyB: 23 is hardly treating “all” others on this forum with disrespect, I presume he has merely run out of patience with the yes-brigade. Not exactly the first morale meltdown, and it wont be the last...
CrusingSpeed, you are telling BusyB that Hostile23 run out of patience with the yes-brigrade... how about the fact that we are sick and tired of "Hostile23", NO/CXsucks comment? Things do go both ways you know. Maybe if Hostile23 stop making comments in every YES post, then we will stop making comments in every NO post? Does this sounds fair to everyone? Also if Hostile23 stop putting down those who do enjoy CX, maybe we will stop complaining about Hostile23 negativity about CX. Does this sounds fair to everyone concern? If this sounds fair, maybe CrusingSpeed can talk to Hostile23 about this!

In regard to which fleet is better, I think the Airbus is awesome fleet. Some of he best bloke you will find in this fleet. Although, the aircraft can be less desirable at times.

Email alert to a pprune reply… what a funny surprise. :-)

Anyway, yes, there are different characters on the lurk here at pprune, and they usually belong to the pro or con group. Or the third, who are having fun reading all this… some of them managers who want to keep us on our toes.

Hostile has been burnt badly and is obviously furious to the treatment that has been leveled at him. You don’t have to be a freedom fighter or have renegade characteristics to be outraged at what happens here on a frequent basis, pretty much unparalleled in the industry. If you are saying that hostile is wrong in applying basic civilized norms to his professional life then you are doing your own career and future a huge disfavour… I would hazard a guess that he is just not in a state to argue calmly at this stage… he is just fed up and sick of this s h I t

At the other end of the spectrum we have ACMS, the cold blooded opportunist who probably sold his grannie for a command with CX. He posts here to justify his lack in the spinal department and gets a bit of sadistic enjoyment in having others exposed as bunk-makers (pre-departure) or failures (post-departure). These are the very types who make a career in this company, at the expense of the many decent people who are working the line and deserve a development towards 21st century standards.

BusyB, a gentleman that many moons ago has seen some good times in this company, usually means well but at times seems a bit out of touch with todays harsh reality.

FiveGreen with some very good posts, infact they are so reasoned they seem completely absurd on this forum at times.

All posters a microcosm of the real thing, you’ve got to see this circus to believe it and you either continually turn a blind eye or make a decision. Once you have successfully cut the corner you will refuse to believe that you have ever bent over for a 3 month contract with constant threats, common disrespect, miserable morale, lack of proper training and a huge environmental impact to the health of you and your family.

Now BusBusBus… don’t try telling me you belong to the category Cadet, because I know for a fact that, through having done their time here, most have a much more differentiated outlook.

CruisingSpeed,

An interesting exercise for you. You couldn't be more wrong about me so I have not got a lot of confidence in your assessments of the others.

Sent you a PM busy

CruisingSpeed 22nd May 2007 17:12

Perception (as well as self perception) is fallible…

I have probably wronged ACMS too…
after all, 99.9 % of 777 FO’s enjoy their nightstops with him, or so he says… :E

ACMS 23rd May 2007 04:12

geeee thanks.................nice to feel the love all around.

I can honestly report that 99% of all line Captains on the 777 are enjoyable to fly with (according to the F/O's I fly with ), I am very happy to be one of that bunch. Apart from one well known guy that reduces fuel, my F/O mates cannot think of any Captain they don't enjoy flying with.

Now stick that in your peace pipe and smoke it

badairsucker 23rd May 2007 12:24

As an FO on the trippler, I can think of one..........

ACMS 23rd May 2007 12:56

yes and I think we all know him too.

There was another one that left for the 744.

And there are a few in the Checking dept that don't make to many friends, but on the whole you must agree the Line Captains are pretty ok.

badairsucker 23rd May 2007 13:54

Agreed, they are a good bunch of guys, miles better than the 400.

BusBusBus 24th May 2007 08:43

CruisingSpeed: you couldn't be more wrong about me... cadet?
No disrespect to the cadets themselves but I am not one of them. :=
Try harder next time buddy.
