L188
G'day can anyone tell me what a L188 is? CX operated them from 1959 to 1966.
Also keen to know what power plant is on the new 744 pax and power plants on the freighter fleet? Cheers;) |
Magnificent aeroplane.
Have heard it described as "the first aircraft to have the wings entirely embedded in the engines". |
The new B744 pax (B-HKD,HKE) formerly flew with SQ, so they are powered by PW 4056.
The B747 Classic freighters have RB211-524C2 (51,500 lbs)/ RB211-524D4 (53,110 lbs) :) All the best! |
Cheers guys, my questions have been answered, just would also like to confirm that CX have only taken delivery of one of the not so new SQ 744s?
cheers P.R. |
29.92, you forgat to mention the ex Varig/AHK 747-200s with the GE CF6-50E2, 52,500lbs thrust engines.

Thanks, Hotdog! :)
Pantyripper: Both B-HKD and B-HKE are now in service, the third ex-SQ 744 (B-HKF) will arrive in Dec 2005 according to www.cathaytalk.com |
no C2's on the 200's - hasn't been for many years.
