Just contact Sunny... Pay by all accounts is terrible, job security is rather questionable in HK for anyone right now and it's overseen by the crowd to the north. Maybe look towards a 737 job in Dubai instead. Might pay just a touch more and give a little bit better security.

Did you say South America? Maybe HKE is your better bet, Are you by chance Brazilian?

I would goto Dubai... instead of Hong Kong. I think GbA is the lowest pay in Hong Kong airlines.. Its a low cost startup airline, with just a few routes for now. btw no housing, no schooling, no moving allowance, no staff travel, no ID90 with other airlines etc. just the bare bone pay, FO pay is around 7K usd and Capt is a bit more.i expect 10K. BUT HK is expensive..with no other allowances 10K you are not really making any money, cant pay for international schools. so its married couple life with no kids. AIrlines in HKG has not the best management running the show.. its all about money for itself and shareholders... NOT FOR ITS staff..

Dubai life you get a better deal...

Thanks in advanced! I m Argentinean. The market here Is quite unstable. I m 35 and this Is my fourth airline, the only reason i moved from one company to another Is bakruptcy due to financial issues. Besides that, Is a great place to visit! And really funny and vibrant to live.
I am aware that the ideal job does not exist but i am searching for a balance of funny/OK city/money.
Flydubai looks Like a good option as it Is looking for captains but i am sure isn t that Easy to pass all the exams. So any info regarding 737 operators Is welcome! Thanks to all. Hope you have a good beginning of 2023

OMFG.. That FO salary is less than I received in Housing Allowance alone at Cathay Pathetic back in 2008!!.. The Cpt pay is less than a JUNIOR FO used to make in CX.. Wow, yeah you´re going to be part of the HK expat trash at those remuneration numbers - what a sad joke - please don´t even dream of bringing any dependents with you - you´ll be divorced and left alone shortly after arriving . Tough words of warning - well, you have been warned! Happy NY.

"We offer a competitive compensation package to the successful candidate. Interested parties, please click “Apply Now” to submit your application".. Yeah - just like the little jesus child was born for real! Competitive for who - the company? Jez - what trash this really is.. Even the airplanes look like a cheap coach bus transport hauling plebs from one site to another... Yikes.

Off topic: The people who "designed" the GBA tail logo must be the most unimaginative boring bunch of individuals around. A 5th grader with MS Word could have done a better job.

I received... back then... used to... welcome back to 2023 Captain... move on. If you'll be divorced and left alone because of money... you are in the wrong crowd.

Wait until you see cabin crew uniform.. jade green skirts and jacket with scarf.. looks like from the 80's. I expect the company logo etc is simple and cheap.. just incase anything happens if didnt work out...(I hope not... good luck I hope they will be around for sometime..) they didnt spend much money on the decor. wait till they do a couple hundred runs up and down China airspace... aircraft white becomes TAN...

Ouch The Dragon boys/girls that went there must be dipping into their savings just to survive. Captain pay with 80 hours flight pay is about what KA effo was getting 12 years ago

And I guess you think that's amusing?

Done by necessity rather than choice I suspect. Try losing your career, by email, with no support.

I don’t think there was any humour or schadenfreude intended in their post… just the cold, hard truth.

There are plenty of flying jobs around the world Asianexpress. No need to cling like a rat to the sinking ship that is Hong Kong. Do yourself a favour FFS...

Over a thousand of us have bailed from CX voluntarily so far, unlike our unfortunate colleagues at KA who were pushed (which was awful for sure), and most are super happy and wished they'd done it long ago. I know I am on both counts.

Even CX pilots that I know who've stayed behind are dipping into their savings now just for the privilege of working for toxic Crappy Pathetic. Not a pretty picture.

The morale of the story is Hong Kong and Cathay is toxic. If you go to GBA, good luck to you, as it's worse.

This reminds me of Paris Hilton wearing that t-shirt that said "stop being poor".

I find it strange that many people lucky enough to have the correct passport/right-to-work keep thinking it's easy for everyone else as well to find a proper job in a proper country.

If Russians can get a job in Dubai, I feel that a South American can easily find one too. No one needs to get on their knees and beg for a job in HK.
