STW

You're WRONG about lots of things and you're wrong about "how" I departed.
I departed with my head held high and my morals intact, final pay check in hand, with my 3 gold long service meaningless awards FOLLOWING the 3 months notice I gave ON THE DAY I was " FORCED " to participate in "unconscious bias" and "diversity" training [sic]...

Sad but delusional, as usual..

Enjoy

I wasn't addressing you but Mr (very) big pants. Commonly the addressee is the one's post you answer, for next time.

But while we are at it, you MAGA guys see a woke and communist conspiracy just about everywhere, from Pizza Restaurants to Hong Kong, you name it. Obsessed with an imagined attack on your frankly questionnable values makes you the delusional one.

If one would have to list two things Hong Kong is NOT then that would be woke or communist. Quite the opposite in fact.

As I said previously, you are regularly "wrong"
I NEVER said HK was woke ! I said CX ( its management ) went woke..
That, and you're now inferring that HK is "not" communist run/controlled ???
You WIN the title of most delusional of the decade 👍🏼

Ok, fair enough, point taken, the one picture could be seen as an attempt to please the woke generation. I personally don't see the harm nor any significance, but ok.

Regarding your statistic of female pilots I would argue that hiring of future pilots could result in different percentages than the existing, so if your numbers are correct and there are only 5% right now, I don't see why this can't be increased? Mind you, Cathay is not hiring out if the pool of present pilots, the cohort is a different one.

Whether the quality has to go down as a result is a "slippery slope" argument, you escalate to the worst possible outcome, and based on the 5%. Also how do we know it is a real target not just a ball park? And within what time frame? I find this hard to see as "woke". I would interpret woke in the negative sense used ( as above ) as excessive actions, not all strategy adjustments per se that involve minorities. I am pretty certain most urban people in the Western world don't even understand the issue of a gay couple in am ad, its normal for them, and I think thats great. The "woke" generation to me is the most advancef, modern and educated generation there ever was. Pretentious and cocky a well, but who wasn't. I am always amazed how far my children and their friends are, I was way less mature at their age.
But ok, you are correct it could be all seen as a woke manoeuvre.

I can't remember the numbers involved, but at the time it seemed like a very tall order, if not unattainable at all, considering the time line they proposed and the numbers involved.

Smacked of excessive wokeness.

Did anyone notice the gender neutral bathroom on the 2nd floor in the training building? I assume it's not the only one?

Go woke, go broke.

That reminds me of a story of a male who used the ladies room, presumably due to the fact that it was closer, then was confronted by an entering female.
He proclaimed he identified as female.
3rd floor wasn't too happy apparently.

Not so woke in that case.

Hilarious.

It's terrible. Once upon a time, those bathrooms were designated for A-Scalers only and were to be equipped with golden thrones. How times have changed?

Spot on Test Monkey.

And STW, you fool, your comment a few days ago about me being pushed as opposed to jumping ship is a load of nonsense, and couldn't be further from the truth.

But you believe whatever you want to believe to make yourself feel better about not having the stones to leave the cesspit. Fill your boots

Well the issue of quarantine for closed loops is coming to an end... That'll put a smile on some faces.

They don't care about suicide, it was the airlines saying HKG as a hub is dying.

When ever did I wish HKG to die as a hub?

I like HKG and enjoying living here. It is a tragedy what HKG and PEK administrations are doing to HKG as a place to work and live, both for the locals and the expats.
