DPA Bows Out
Being rather snide there.
DPA is dividing the remaining funds amongst the membership based on years of contributions. Very fair though I did laugh when I heard somebody who resigned a few years ago wanted a share of the pie .
The DPA was a great investment. Many pay rises over the years the simplest measure. I don’t understand the complaints a few posts back. What were their expectations ? Join on C Scale expect B Scale after a few years? Join on D Scale expecting C Scale soon after ?

The DPA had large cash reserves for “ the lawyers” and often delved into them for legal consultations.
The association actually owned their office premises in central . This were purchased around 15 years ago. Its worth several millions of dollars. Wether its been sold in the current climate, we don’t know. And then how to distribute the proceeds to members; would it be paid out for the remaining members, or pro rata? What about members who left the company over the years, but contributed far in excess of some newer members?
Its a tricky one, perhaps better to give the sale proceeds to a local HK charity or to support woman's or black lives rights? . This would be a decent gesture.

kahahha
if you were a DPA member you would know the funds are being distributed amongst current members. Sharing it with members who may have left thirty years ago absurd. And a charity contribution? The DPA through its members supported a number of charities and once again, members can be charitable if they choose with their modest DPA payout. The HK & Chinese Goverments are wealthy enough to be locally charitable and I’ll leave it up to them as opposed to unemployed pilots!
DPA never owned real estate stop stirring up unhelpful BS.
