It is always tempting to use racial stereotypes, just human nature I guess. Nevertheless it is almost always wrong.

In this case just compare vaccine rates on a global scale. You will find Asians don't fall behind other groups, quite the opposite actually.

As annoying the HK gov indeed is, resist the simple and intellectual limiting bias and look further.

Sam; Dying with all the "underlying" issues Cx has, surely, Covid will be the reason on the Death Certificate.

Recover? Very loose definition if you ask me.

A cargo airline that’s 50% of its current size and a passenger airline 30% of its current size considered a recovery?

All hypothetical, but based on current numbers, that’s about the most likely recovery you can hope for over the next 2-3 years.

With regard to the idea of recovery, I think the question that you’re all asking is, ‘will our incumbent Cathay managers ever make big bonuses again’? 🤔

I’d say that if international travel ever returns to anywhere near pre-Covid/Riots/Security Law/Mass Emigration/Asteroid Strike levels, then yes; the here today gone tomorrow, take your big bonus a waltz off over the horizon incumbents, can look forward to a very handsome recovery.

As for the many, many thousands of people they manage? Not so much.

It's not just the pilots that have had their COS slashed, you know?

But the pilots are the only ones who can't really take their experience with them and start at a similar level with a new company. For us it usually starting over.

CX Dies = Others (in non #CCP run countries) will live

If you have to ask which is better on any level imaginable, you're in the wrong job and you should sue the schools you attended !!

Poetic Justice

To some the slow death of CX, run by a nasty tribe of arrogant bullies, at the hands of an even bigger bully in Beijing might seem quite appropriate.

Good luck Swire Princes; this time I think you have overplayed your hand.

I was in at about $4000 usd not that long ago. Almost sold at $8000...but my son convinced me to hold. Glad I listened to him. He now is pretty convinced it will break through $100K sometime this year. time will tell...

Not boasting. Just demonstrating that there are unusual opportunities out there if you look. If it wasn't for my son I would have sold much too soon. If you don't want positive stories, then I suppose that is a reflection of you. Btw, my comment is that many are convinced it's going to double again...so perhaps I am highlighting that there is possibly much more opportunity yet to be had. If it does get to $100K....I hope you will have at least considered my story objectively. (oh, one more thing...I was A scale...so I miss the past more than most :-(.

Why those two? they have had a recent pump and dump of around 30% each. Meituan is very new in the scheme of things but some people would have gotten lucky if they had held Sunny for a while.

On the same note with the MPF. Have a look how the Chinese Fund was doing until a month back. Up a lot for the year and now has died completely.
