SILENCE

BA have ripped up the contracts and are slashing and burning. LIFO, D&G, Sickness Management all gone. Redundancies by selection. Not 49'ers this time it's 1000's.

HELLO DARKNESS MY OLD FRIEND.........

I think what BA is doing is disgusting! They are tearing up agreements, writing new ones and just want to save face. Have they tried to exhaust all options?

I hope the HKAOA are going to look after all pilots in CX and not look after themselves and individual contracts. ;-( doubt it though.

As we saw from the Jurg Lum disaster the AOAers on the inside will look after those who they like drinking beer with and the rest can continue paying dues without complaint or comment thank you. They know how best to spend your money. And if you still think TA16 was a bad idea then you can continue to stroke off RF for single handedly destroying any future at CX and enjoy more of the same pay raises you've enjoyed over the past 4 years.. Good luck. You get exactly what you deserve.

For my part, I don't blame RF or the union. I blame those who voted for them.

There is no excuse.

I feel bad for all pilots around the world. So many people left CX to go home! And are now out of work.
But make NO mistake, CX will be cutting jobs! They are just looking how to do it!

They already know what they are going to do, we just have to wait for them to announce it. Won't be long.

If you still think TA16 would have saved you from what will be coming, Iíve got another bridge to sell.
As a sidenote: your last payrise was negotiated under RF.
Good luck to you all.

There will be no pay increases for the next decade! IF a portion of us don't get retrenched!
CX pilots must not think that we are special. CX cannot hang onto dead wood forever!
I think we will see the heavy weights on the top of the list leaving due to restructuring! Base guys get recalled / giving 3 months notice. Then LIFO. Heard a rumour ( yes its a rumour on a rumour network ) about COS20 floating around.
Or just put everyone on COS18.......

But we all know that the GC will make sure they protect what they have - sell the young down the river and all touch each other saying they have done a great job. OR probably just sue a member again! ( that's the scary thing we are trusting a group of people that did that )

All the above is just in my own opinion though.

Contractual rights demand that any retrenchment is done on the principle of Last In / First Out. HOWEVER, I suspect that the management have constructed a strategy that will cleverly undermine that principle. It will be interesting to see their plans revealed. I suspect it will be heavily based on pitting the different groups of pilots against one another sadly. We'll know soon enough...

Wow you are very special! Have a look at the name of this site. Its called PPRuNe Professional Pilots Rumour Network.
Now let me educate you on the definition of "rumour"

Rumour - a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth.
If I had a dollar for ever story or comment on this site that's not factual or what's heard via the grape vine, well Jeff Bezos would be my butler. ( FYI cxorcist - Jeff Bezos is the owner and founder of a big company, maybe you have heard of it? He is also the richest man in the world ).

So what I said was not factual, but definitely what's doing the rounds in CX. Maybe you're one of the pilots that are staying away from work at the moment, but open your eyes and listen to the chat.

I believe what I said will happen - not all of it, but maybe one thing! They are going to pin the junior crew against the senior crew - and this time people will vote to make sure they are in a job. IF WE GET A CHOICE........

Not all of the based guys have HKPR. Even if they have an HKID and not PR they won't have a current work visa for HK. I don't see how they can be recalled if HK based guys are likely to lose their jobs, IMM wouldn't allow a work visa if a current resident were to be replaced. I'm sure too that many HK based pilots would lodge a complaint to IMM.

OH too funny. We are all working for less and under worse conditions because TA16 was rejected. RF refused to talk to the DFO to resolve the issue so we could move forward. RF was told that there would never be a better deal or even one as good or even close. If we had a working relationship with management the Covid would be managed in a way more favourable to pilots. You sound a little too much like a trump supporter where logic and facts matter not. Perhaps you aren't a CX pilot or you would fly with all the crew who make less because of RF.
