HFP, your mum not hug you when you were a child or something? Did your parents take the “let him cry it out” method to an extreme?

As far as HKE goes, welcome to the club boys and girls. Don’t forget to invite us to some of those BBQ’s you’ve been known to organise. We’ll undoubtedly have plenty to discuss.

Our friend HFP and his kind will bring plenty of salt to go around for everyone.

Unfortunately, HFP has a point.

For example - the HKA service to CNS.
Due to repeated navigation errors on the STAR to RWY15 the company received a warning from the CASA that they would be barred from the airport if they did it again. This occurred in spite of senior pilots informing the FOP Manager responsible that there was an FMS database problem (which he ignored, as is his habit, until the SHTF).

Their solution afterward was to make all pilots sign a piece of paper in ABO saying they knew about the Database issue in CNS and promised not to do it again.

Its a joke of a company, with an FOP run by a bunch of careerist jokers.

Means exactly what it says!
Now that you feel better about yourself, Captain, why don’t you try to answer the question!!
It would be interesting to see how many nationalities, like the ones employed by HKE, are present at Cathay?

Was that enough to stroke your big ego, or would you prefer to be addressed as Commander?
(How’s that for sarcasm)

it is almost amusing how CX negotiates with internal vs external parties.

internal ‘take it or leave it’

external ‘here, have some more money’

It is simply about the gaining of extra slots at a growth constrained HKIA and to garner favour with the SAR gov, never mind the other factors.

Not only this but Slosar wouldn’t care if the company was shrinking, he was desperate for a LLC no matter what the cost. Now he can stepdown as chairman knowing he has monopolised the HK market

So....now I know where my expected profit share went. Once again, the "little airline that cried poor". Disgusting, shameless and more evidence that we work for the biggest group of narcissists in the industry. Shameless. Please, John, don't have Rupert make any more "we're so poor" speeches. Getting a bit tired of listening to the same broken record. Most of us are leaving anyway so at least we won't have to listen to the same rubbish for much longer.

I might also add that this quite possibly confirms the end of any career prospects at CX. They now have Dragon and Express to grow throughout Asia and the region, leaving CX as their neglected overseas carrier. I expect very little growth for CX, and most of it now going to their lower cost units. At the very least, they will use the threat of doing so as a way to drum down pay and conditions at CX (as if COS18 hasn't already put the nail in the coffin of a genuine career). Writing is on the wall IMHO.

4.93 BILLION Hkd? That has to be a typo error. For a failing, loss making airline swimming in a sea of debt with a flawed business plan , controlled by suspected incompetent management team? Surely some mistake? 4.93 Billion!!!!?

mngmt mole, you forgot Air Hong Kong.
Cathay now own 4 airlines. If you’re at all wondering which of the 4 are about to be plagiarized to support expansion at the others, look no further than CX’s revised training plan for this year.

You all just witnessed the shrinking of CX. Time to upgrade just went to eternity, a good percentage of our flying is going to disappear.

Good! if it means not spending 48hrs in CGK or 7 days in HYD then bring on the shrinking. KA/HKE are welcome to take over those ports

Haha

Would this be the same cohesiveness as given to the 49'ers? Maybe that was too long ago.

Committed, maybe many like yourself should be with that attitude.

Mercinary, care to comment on how many different pay scales you have within the same pilot body at Cathay?

Ahhh Hahahaha
