Company Survey

So yesterday I completed the the Company survey.

I can honestly say that I had nothing, and I mean nothing to agree on.
I laughed out loud to a few questions.....
Would I recommend Cathay Pacific to anyone else for employment- hahahahaha is that a joke question ? Wow CX are in over their heads.

Once again I can't understand why anyone would join this Dog Show of a airline - I am warning every single person who is coming here thinking you going to live the good life with money etc. You are wrong you going to build up debt here. A 5 year SO salary is not going to get you anything! Trust me I am living proof.

Good luck to any person coming - im outta here as soon as I get the smallest of chances......

Why did you even complete it. Apathy would have sent a much clearer message. Consider if not a single pilot filled in the survey, not one. Think what a message that would send. But too late you have swallowed another company brick. Idiot.

How many warnings did you ignore when you signed up to a local package?

Why?

Can anyone, PLEASE PLEASE explain to me why anyone would fill in such a survey?? Please explain how succesful all the previous surveys were for us.

Maybe there's something that I don't get, maybe the company did improve after these surveys and I just didn't notice. So please guys, enlighten me.

I think the 'snowflakes' think it's like 'Tripadviser' and a must do item. I'm surprised they don't include selfies.
The damage is done. Had not a single pilot filled out the survery that would send a message. Now these idiots have game over. Anf to think we have to fly with these f***wits.

I filled it in because I want to see their reaction when they got 100% Strongly Agree from EVERYONE in the company for the last question.

unitedabx, I agree with your sentiment. However, now better to respond to limit the damage and send a clear message.

Definitely will do it, the company has problems registering discontent from anything other than their own survey, then again look at the employee travel survey and hotel survey, still nothing has changed.

Agreed
No changes seen. No feedback on individual messages sent.
How about:
"Team. Thanks for the feedback. Point x can be summarized thus. We are doing such and such to fix it. Please monitor and report further"?
Instead we get crickets. And vacuous slogans. And the same sh1t. Forever.

It's been tried before and the pilots comments ignored. So why make the same mistake. For Gods sake people LEARN from your previous errors. Don't complete the survey.

I m sure they interpret the lack of a submitted survey as a satisfied employee. Therefore I took the opportunity to extend a raised middle digit by completing the survey.

You hit the ball back over the net. So the company can say you engaged and a dialogue ensued. You fell for it. Can I sell you a boat in the DB Marina ?

When the company keep serving aces, yea I m going to try and hit the ball back over the net otherwise the alternative is to stand there and continue being aced.
As for buying a boat at DB I wish nothing but a good outcome for my affected colleagues, even if it involves you Unitedabx.

My point is " you can't play tennis with only one player". "It takes 2 to tango", or "you can't start an argument on your own". WHAT DON'T YOU GET ? Still want to buy my boat ?or I have a piece of real estate in Manhatten you might want to buy.

Folks, engagement is not a positive or negative; it's binary.

Whether you fill it in and 'let them have it' or praise them you are engaged.

Practicing indifference is a very worthwhile past time.
Their system is not to find out whether you approve or not, rather that they still have your attention.

By way of an analogy imagine the months (for those of you who have) prior to the end of a marriage: The fighting is over, the screaming is usually done what is left is an empty resolution. There is no need for couple's counselling, it is a void.
The most confronting thing to IR is indifference. From a Machiavellian perspective the 'dark art' of IR is about control, be it contractual or perceived. Taking away their perceived control is very powerful.

They know not what people think, they can't counter it. All they have left is the contract and that totally dis-empowers the floors of people at Cathay Pacific City who spend their work time in the 'dark art'

You have to ask yourself "did the company take any notice of the last surverys ?". If the answer is no then you have wasted your time. Again.

Very good analogy. By far the best way to piss someone off is not to engage. Drove my ex wife and her lawyers bananas. But she still got the house !
