You really are a piece of work MC. Your desperation is blatantly evident. Please, keep posting, we love the entertainment. You and I both know the true situation regarding resignations don't we (wink, wink!). Let's pretend the crisis isn't gathering strength. Let's also try and pretend that somehow COS18 hasn't pushed many to the realisation that there is NO pilot career left at CX. Sure, we'll maintain the fiction that all is well....just you and me brother.

More resignations coming. Fact

I love helping out CX guys and gals.

They all do extremely well in training. No doubt from the high standards held from a decade ago and more so from the enthusiasm of being with a new employer.

"More resignations", you are not kidding. Just back from Europe this past week. All three of my colleagues will be gone soon. A discussion amongst ourselves resulted in a known amount of people who have applied/interviewed/awaiting course at a new employer other than CX numbering 37. One of the FO's said that he knew of three other CX FO's interviewing the same day as he. They all have received course dates. MC, CK, RH and their sycophants can keep pretending that the Titanic is fine and it was only a "little bump". Most of us who work at the coal face know better. The great exodus is well underway. It will be nothing but an airline of locals and refugees from other parts of the world in a few short years. Expats are becoming extinct at CX.

I can only hope that these guys/girls post on the greener grass post heading the fragrant harbour and also post back to the AOA, it's time the union looked after it's pilots including those who can leave, the more information the better.

New campaign open until end of Jan, including direct entry onto 350 and 380...

ďThis recruitment campaign is for pilots that currently operate the Airbus A319/A320/A321, A330, A340, A350 and A380. You must have a valid rating on an Airbus with a minimum of 500 hours on type. To be considered for the A350 or A380 you will need 1500 hours on an aircraft that satisfies ZFT with 500 hours on type.Ē

There will be a 777/787 campaign also, we need 600 pilots in next 2 years apparently. Good luck to those applying.

6 CX pilots left for BA out of 3000 pilots in CX, 0.0000000000001% turnover. The floodgates are open, CX management are quaking in their shoes.
94% said they were looking for work elsewhere in the AOA survey, 7 left in November.
The grass is greener everywhere else, would lots more leave FFS instead of just talking about it so my T & C can get better.

Hundreds quit in December, apparently. Iím guessing 4 actually left. Letís see AOA number for member resignations.

MC, you are right. There is not a resignation problem in CX. Everyone is happy. No one is applying to other airlines, no one is interviewing, no one is awaiting course dates. CX is such a better career prospect than BA, QA, VS, LH, AF etc... I'm sure all the pilots on the roster this month will still be here the same time next year. We worship the ground you and your fellow CX/Swire managers walk on. We are SO lucky to work for such a fine group of superior management.

Just in case it helps, BA are in Abu Dhabi next week. I know its still a long way from HKG, but not as far as LHR.
Apparently, if you register online you can complete stage 1 on the day, and then stage 2 via Skype interview, meaning you only have to get back to the UK for the sim assessment.

I think if you look in pure monetary terms the package would be less. However, in terms of quality of life, it may well represent a good move for anyone wanting to move back to Europe.
