So what's the latest on this little misadventure? I hear lots of P sims being cancelled due to no medical and Licensed sim instructors and the actual pilots that should be doing these checks are up to their armpits just doing line checks. There is a minimum STC requirement for the airline, we must be getting close.

We are witnessing the last "death throes" of this managements attempt to bluff their way through their own epic incompetence. The airline is failing, pilots are leaving, they are effectively having to park aircraft (reducing frequencies). It is their desperate wish to fool us into signing for a concessionary contract. We've fought this far for this long, so let's not throw away all our efforts now. If the contract that is going to be offered does not address ALL the major issues, then it's a NO. The management know they are barely hanging on, and the longer it goes on, the more frantic they become.

Here, here. Let's not waste the pain already endured but build upon it. A final push to annoucing a stoppage just before the Chrsitmasrush would put mamagement over the edge.

I am quite disappointed with the complete lack of communication from the union. COS18 is an existential threat to the pilot career is CX. Surely that should justify the call for a strike vote. Hold a vote, and let's see where all the BS really lies. I suspect it will be a successful vote, and then a declaration for possible holiday action. Or does the AOA have a better plan

Five or six years ago, September and October were seen as a target rich environment to bang the drums in an attempt to influence the all important bookings for Xmas and CNY. Now there is silence.... Did we win! Have we lost? I didn't get the memo.

Unfortunately Liam, we are now a parody on the Black knight in The Quest for the Holy Grail. It's all over Red Rover.

I've been reading this for years blah blah blah. It ain't happening. The company is firmly in control. You need to deal with it.

The original thread was about the Si's conducting PC's and having expired medicals which cost the company HKD1.98 million to have 30 crews resit the tests. The idiot SI who let his medical lapse would have been let go or so you'd think. Infact he's back after some leave. He must have the dirty gen on someone in management to have survived. WTW.

They don't fire anyone for things like that, if they did they would have to go back and fire the last (ultra senior management pilot) who is still here and did the same a few years back.
I don't even recall that anyone was marched out the front door for signing on the dotted line resulting in somewhere near FOUR BILLION USD in an "unfortunate" fuel hedging "mistake"..
