Maybe you just need a big cup of cement before you go out at 3am, I feel pretty safe in most cities at 3am, just don't need to push it to the limits in places like Oakland which has one of the most unsafe records in the USA

Rightly so, 3AM in Oakland it’s not even safe for the Police. Do your night prowling in Berkeley. But there’s not too many places to go at 3am around here worth going really. Save that for Vegas .

is CX thinking of adding OAK or they really are dumb enough to consider Oakland to base SFO crew. Logistically it’s pretty dumb with the bay bridge and San Mateo bridge traffic.

But crew staying a few days in Oakland can find plenty of nice places to go not far away. Just don’t be wandering around downtown oakland late at night and you should be fine.

It’s just another pathetic cost saving measure by CX. Burlingame hotels cost too much because other airlines layover there, driving prices up. So as has become the standard, CX races to the bottom, in this case Oakland. Sadly, many of the junior pilots are similarly unsuitable, but nobody in a position of power at CX seems to care.
