The old training captains I flew with would have slapped me in the back of the head if I grabbed the reverse thrust levers before touching down.

Some day in the future, you are gonna realise the team you chose was the wrong one. You are gonna look around and realise the people you advertised for are the ones now holding the rifles on the firing line.

Sad really. When your identity is defined by your job and rank, and your ego feels the need to advertise it to the whole world, the fall can be quite crippling. A true professional cares not about the paint on the tail but about the profession and his fellow peers.

And a union member it would seem.

Disgraceful.

Both LH and RH are union members.

I am sick of the union not doing anything about it. Absolutely disgusting.

They have done something - provisionally approved a propaganda puppet with 70K+ followers. The Union is great!

Politics aside, high production value video. They actually spent some money on this one.
Good editing too.

Oasis, good editing?
CN goes on about SOPs, does a walk around and then appears to be PF for the rest of the flight.
CN says they will do a rolling T/O but they are obviously stationary on 07R at the beginning of the T/O roll.
I'm sure there are other poor editing examples in the rest of the clip

Talk about nitpicking.

By the way, I challenge you post the definition of a rolling takeoff from the 777 FCTM. I'll give you a hint and get you to just post the second example of one.

T/O are either start from a standing start or while turning onto the centreline. IAW the FCTM all T/O's are rolling T/O's. I guess this is correct as all T/O will involve a rolling component at some stage

Talking

Good editing too.
I know this is a firm grip of the non-essentials but pre-flight shot in the flight deck are an RR aircraft (HNO), push back and some taxi shots are GE aircraft (KPV) and T/O flight deck shots are in HNF.

I'll get my hat and coat!

Look at the comments

Over a 1000 comments from joe public overwhelmingly praising CX pilots.
Clearly the public value the pilots more than the company do.
Given the fact that members have already agreed to be in this video, we as an association should be putting it to use in the current negotiations.

Thanks,

As long as you don't hold the brakes while spooling up.

JammedStab.

Again IAW FCTM initiate the T/O from holding position on the RWY release brakes before applying thrust. Do you often apply thrust against brake?

Not often.

I was just pointing out that you can be "stationary on 07R at the beginning of the T/O roll" and it is considered by Boeing to be a rolling takeoff.
