KA pilots save HK$1million in fuel

FOP KA are over the moon. Their pilot’s tireless adherence to the fuel saving single engine departure taxi and se arrival is now predicted to save the company upwards of 1 Million HK dollars. A great contribution from the KA pilot group .

Meanwhile, The COS negotiations are progressing well. Its looking like 0% pay rise until 2020 . The FOP are saying that the introduction of iPad EFF this week has reduced pilot workload and thats a bonus in itself.

The rush to introduce the iPads is reaping rewards. Apparently a big FOP bonus to be provided to those managers in KA who worked endlessly over the last 3-4 years to introduce them.

Shhh, lets not mention the $20 million loss when the same ka FOP management was unable to make their own inhouse product function correctly, and scrapped the who project.

No way? It only saves that? All that risk for 1 million HK? Surely its US one million or you are missing a digit?

A motivated captain could save a million HK a year in his own operation.

A demotivated one can cost a million HK a year as well. Ask me (and all the other CX Captains) how I know?

It’s like being given an allowance for lunch , if you don’t spend it the allowance is reduced according, they give me the fuel for a trip so I feel that it’s only right and proper to use it all

The new CX math. $35000 = $1000000.

It does appear that single engine taxiing seems more popular towards the end of the month when OT kicks in. Perhaps the savings should be offset a little!

Couple this with CMP and the fact that "O" days almost always become reserve. And min rest not only on trips but also in Hong Kong sees no more than 13hours off typically in Hong Kong on any duty cycle. The Crew Maximised Productivity programme is doing exactly what the user has paid it to do. So if you hope CX will end up with something more leisurely you have been firmly blinded by the management hype you gullible imbeciles!

No! The majority of the pilots have been blinded by the upper levels of the AOA who have championed CMP , namely Senior North American 777 pilots , who stand to benefit from it.

Betpump5 .. say what? Can you please explain how Anyone will benefit from a CMP that doesn’t include the PBS? The freighter trial is just that and is a mess..
preferential bidding or ANY input from crews on the 777 on ANY base is a dream not soon realized. They haven’t even bought that part of the program
Package!! Nothing will change except **** crew patterns that finally utilize the aircraft effciently at pilots expense.
Didn’t you listen at the forums a year ago? You know.. the ones that said basings are a Top priority now that the company recognizes the demand is there!!!
Gee that only took 25 years to sink in!!
Utter crap... they will do nothing about bases so stop dreaming.
