CX Resignation Tips
For all that are in the process of or have already resigned, please share any tips here. I'm quite sure that this type of advice will be in high demand in the upcoming months/years. I'll start by posing the following:
- Was your vested Pfund provided without a fight?
- How did the company treat banked leave with regard to the 3mo notice period?
- Did you have trouble acquiring security clearance in your home country after working in HKG?

You would make a great management candidate. Completely lacking in humor. And please, don’t fly us. You would obviously be a complete p.i.t.a. as a passenger. “Old chap”. 🤮
Watch AT doing a table dance after you tell her you are quitting: she will be rid of another expensive pilot, who will be replaced by a cheap spikey.

1.Go online and request a reference letter from company.
2.Order new uniform.
3.Fill out logbook and get Chief Pilot to sign it.
4.Make a doctors appointment.
5.Return all paperback manuals.
6.Pay bar tab at Dakotas
7. Book FOC back to home country.

Traf & XF, posting on a public forum is different from jesting in the bar.
Actually, now I think of it, whilst the former brings your airline into disrepute; the latter, in CX as I remember, could get you fired.

Having witnessed the decline of a few people close to me both in aviation and corporate, I can honestly say that the most uplifting thing is watching professional people conduct themselves with dignity when their adversary (with the perceived power) is begging for the fight: These sociopaths want the outrage, they thrive on it.
Their adversarial model is developed by practitioners who by their own nature need to generate conflict for their survival. Having seen how corporate HR think and behave even away from the office, it makes me want to have a shower and a good scrub, just in case it rubs off. It is soulless and they know it.
As the saying goes, never wrestle pigs, you get dirty and the pig likes it.
Airline pilots have always been trusted. (mostly deserved). As we are licenced by a regulator airlines neither own us nor set our standard. Stand tall conduct yourselves with resolve, and when comfortably in your own space put the dartboard on the back of the door with image affixed!

Basil. CX would just love it wouldn't they if all of the disgruntled pilots were too frightened to speak out? Well, this pilot is about to leave anyway, so there really isn't much they can do to threaten me. Further, the day that I will cower to the likes of a Swire manger is the day I lose all my self-respect. And that day will never come. I've been posting for 10 years at the Prune, and i'll still be posting long after i've gone. Why, because I take a particular delight in shining the light on the cockroaches...
I was present that night and counselled the gentleman against saying/doing anything provocative.
After turning back to continue conversation, we heard the peanuts rattling off the ceiling/wall.

Regarding the peanuts flying, at least Richard Branson had a sense of humour.
