Could someone explain to me realistically what a CX 350 FO would gain by moving to HKA??

Hmmm
A sign on bonus for Hong Kong license holders...and a quick command....and no more pay cuts every couple of years....

And a 20/10 roster?....Gee, I didn't know it was possible to build a commuting roster? Isn't that like rocket science? You surely must need a massive computing system?

It isn't really a commuting roster. 20/10/10/20/20/10/10. 40 days on 20 days off isn't enough to "live" somewhere else.

But your point is still valid and well taken.

How long before they are asking for rated A350 skippers?

If they improve the commuting package they might poach a few EASA 330/350 rated guys from CX/KA. But probably not.

The way I see it from outside, as I've said before, this is a very good opportunity with a healty expanding airline with nice aircraft and destinations.

Now, for a CX 350 FO to leave CX and go there, disregarding what people say on here, I believe it when I see it!

Average career span at Ryanair is 4.5 years.
Same at HKA.
Not a career airline. Management are pure assholes.

Ryanair not doing so well at the moment- see thread in Terms and Endearment. Seems to be a problem with...umm...not enough pilots.

The revolving door continues to spin at HKA. They go in, they go out. Just like Ryanair.
Works for a while - but eventually people cop on and the house of cards collapses. As is now happening at Ryanair.
Any CX/KA guys thinking the grass is greener at HKA need their heads examined. From frying pan to the fire etc.
If you failed at CX/KA you can have a go at HKA. You've probably got nothing to lose but your remaining self respect.

EASA? Why’s that then? The HKCAD for now don’t have any provisions for A350 type only, as say Qatar has.

The intentions would be to hire A330 rated guys (appropriately experienced) and then after completion of the CTR, fly single fleet. (SFF is flying both variants).

I guess, HKCAD have seen the gap in this and will soon have an approved methodology of a specific type in their system.

Go to the back of the Q bozo brains. CX is the place for you, until you learn respect and manners, you can make their beds and listen to their clap trap all the way around the world.

It makes their day you know , getting newbies all hot under the collar about their expertise.

A massive amount of **** is about to hit Hong Kong Airlines through the Media and the Courts. Named individuals in Flight Ops Management will soon have their feet held to the fire in public. I can't wait to see thiose b'stards squirm. And its going to cost some of them their jobs, and the company a ton of money.
Just watch the news - you're about to see what you're getting yourselves into.
