A333 B-HLL involved.
Ready for (or already) taxiing as KA691 to Penang. Looks like an impact with quite a force.

Someone saw the left rear tyre ?

there is security footage going around and you can see the 330 just start to taxi when the van appears and drives towards to the aircraft, just in front of the engine and the rest is history. Engineer waves to the cockpit to get them to stop after the impact

The footage shown that the driver drove to the plane, steered to the right and hit the engine. He must be crazy.

I don't think he meant to steer right. The engine sucked him in!

id be very surprised if a 330 engine at idle would be capable of sucking in a 2t vehicle. I doubt the thrust would have been much more then idle, a 330 at heavy weight will start rolling at idle

Might have been a stroke, apparently.
That would explain the erratic/suicidal driving.

Poor guy. I hope he's ok.

Is it just me, or do these types of things seem to happen more at CX/KA than most places? In the last decade, the amount of aircraft damage caused on CX and HAECO ramps is off the charts. I wonder if the insurers have noticed.
