American suspect, 39, released on bail and must report to police next month
A Cathay Pacific employee has been arrested for allegedly taking upskirt photos of a female colleague at the airline’s headquarters in Chek Lap Kok.
The victim called the police on Monday after someone snapped pictures of her with a mobile phone in an office in the South Tower of Cathay City on Scenic Road.
The suspect, 39, an American in a managerial position, was later arrested for accessing a computer with criminal or dishonest intent.
He was released on a bail and must report back next month.

The case is being investigated by an airport district investigation team.
A police source said the suspect had twice taken upskirt pictures of the victim, a flight attendant now working on the ground due to pregnancy. She was immediately alerted about the man’s act and called police after a discussion with her family.
Investigators found a picture of the victim in the suspect’s mobile phone. They have yet to determine if there were other victims.
A Cathay Pacific spokesman said it was aware of an alleged case of sexual harassment.
He said: “We do not tolerate any form of harassment and take this issue very seriously. An urgent internal inquiry has been launched, and we supported the staff concerned to report the matter to the police.”
The company said it would provide support and assistance to the staff concerned.

Cathay executive arrested over upskirt photos of colleague
A Cathay Pacific executive is facing charges, accused of taking secret photos up a female colleague’s skirt.
The 39-year-old suspect, identified only as Robert, is a project manager in the airline’s aviation and information technology department, Apple Daily reports.
He was arrested and later released on bail and will report back to the police to face formal charges relating to “access to computer with criminal or dishonest intent”.
The arrest came after the flight attendants’ union filed a police report of the incident, doubtful management would conduct its own investigation as promised.
The woman said she had been told by airline officials not to report the incident to the police, pending its own inquiry.
But the union decided to proceed, saying only the police are authorized to search the content of the suspect’s camera and computer.
The woman is a flight attendant reassigned to a desk job due to pregnancy.
The incident happened on Friday when the suspect asked her for help with some computer issues, according to the police.
She said she noticed the man secretly take upskirt photos of her.
The man continued as she helped him with Chinese translations, she said.
When she filed a complaint to management, she was told to hold off on a police report while an internal investigation was pending.
She decided to reach out to the union.
Chairwoman Dora Lai Yuk-sim said the airline might be trying to cover up the incident to save its reputation.
Meanwhile, Cathay said in a statement that it will provide the woman with all necessary support, saying it does not tolerate any form of sexual harassment.

All the thrills he wanted just a train ride away.....and he's trying to take upskirt pictures in the office. Some folks just aren't wired right.
I haven't printed out my tech quiz yet. Are there any questions dealing with harassment or anything of that sort? I assume the answer is "Alert management so they can deal with it "in house" and avoid involving the proper authorities at all costs.
