Maybe they did not like his stance on the issue of Fatigue in the company!
If I recall correctly he was heading the committee .
He probably did not fit into the current model !

No doubt that is correct. He is a good man who sees the everyday effects of CX rosters. He will be missed. I sure enjoyed seeing him once a year. Godspeed Doc!

I agree. Great Dr. No doubt that it has something to do with fatigue managment.

Probaby contract renewal and wouldn't accept the new terms. I have been rescheduled with Dr Y and certainly will be going to TST instead. The man is dangerous and a complete idiot. I also dislike someone who bats that way holding my testicles.

Cathay will eventually reap what they sow. Job with the CAD on expat terms would be sweet (he was offered local terms after 55 - that's why he left). Good chap but I don't have a problem with any of the others either.

Heard it was not mutual as he was escorted out of the building. Apparently PH was involved in the abrupt departure of our good Dr. Would be interesting to hear the true story what actually happened.

Next on PH list to escort out of the building are CP 777 and CP 747 apparently. As I said, they will reap what they sow sometime soon.

Whatever the reason for his departure he is a decent man and as a pilot group it is our loss.

I hope the good Doctor departed on good terms, however it seems unusual to have a NTC announcing he had departed the day before and detailing the rapid rescheduling of his appointments. Doesn't sound like an amicable parting of the ways.

I would guess his ability to perform HKCAD medicals is independent of his employment with Cathay. Wouldn't it be amusing if he set up an Office in opposition to CX Medical Department and held his position within CAD.

I thought he was decent chap.

Can all readers try any leads they have to get him to read this thread. Whilst we can't post his Email Address here, if he came on himself we could PM and I for another would like to pass on my thanks and best wishes, not to mention visit the practice he should setup in HKG - Are you there Doc? Give us a clue :-)

Indeed, a great guy and a loss to most of us, and also the company, how very shortsighted of them.
If you read this doc, thanks for being a level headed sounding board and a voice of reason.
I wish you well. If you do stay in HK, try and make it known where you go to, so we can get quality annual Medicals.

Our lady doc is ok, but I'd worry I'd let the side down at the wrong time, and the other bloke holds on just a bit too long for my liking.

So Doc, we'll miss you, good luck wherever you go.

A true gentleman and he will be sorely missed.
If there is a Farewell Drinks, you'd better find a big venue as I suspect droves will turn up. I'll certainly be there!

As an outsider......what is the schedule like at CX. I assume certain aircraft are better than others.

Obviously long haul flights are difficult but for shorter flights, is there consideration to prevent swinging back and forth from night to day and back or is it just an all over the place kind of schedule.
