KA A330 with CX colours/colors?

Third floor type said it is happening, with a little disclaimer like US regionals "Operated by Dragonair" painted by the door.

Can't be happening yet, surely they have to paint a few more in KA colours before painting them green again?

Cool

I think it's called a lease, when KA a/c go for major maintenance check, as there are no spare KA a/c, CX will lease to KA to maintain the service.

How does every other airline in the world conduct major maintenance? Do they just lease airplanes from other carriers?

Who is it that "transferred" an A330 to KA?

Who is it that owns KA?

Guess it's going to be a mudfight DPA vs AOA... so please keep this is in mind (has to look good in bikini mudfight) for the next election

It's happening

CX flying (newly painted) A330's under our name from Dragon. I think we are giving more of our older variable weight A330's to Dragon.

New Premium Economy to be unveiled - next year is the word.

So what's going to happen to Dragon? Low Cost model? But don't worry boys come over to Cathay and get on our payscale - but no housing because you're brand new to CX.

CX at it's best.

I wonder what's going to happen when our Brand name really starts to fall or fail because they are going to be paying peanuts? A few years from now the brand name will be worth my 13th month from 2008. The managers who brought about change will all be gone and the mangement will be wondering how it happened?

Our new DFO is heading for a big fall and he doesn't even know it. He's going to take the blame - and rightly so. You can't have your high cost brand name without paying the big bucks. Mr DFO take off your blinders and start doing your job properly. God would want you to

From what I hear it's an ops deal more so then commercial on CX mainline (let the fireworks begin...).

Goes back to the days of "KA" L1011s crewed by CX.

It's easy to tell that this is nothing more that a little $H!te disturbing thread simply by reading the vast amount of incoherent replies on the subject. Can someone please put together two coherent sentences on what is really going on? Come on people it can't be that hard.

It is a rare thing that KA lasted this long without more interference than is already happening from CX. An airline that has been bought out doesn't usually last this long... The Taiwan straights will eventually open up fully. When that happens CX looses it's bread and butter. The only way to recover that and to expand within China is dislodging the KA brand.
It will happen... It's already begun... KA now using CX screw control but a small example. The signs are there.

CX and HX are just playing the same game. The branding is HX but UO survives due to its allocated routes. So in a similar way, the branding is CX but KA has to remain useful in a subordinate way due to its routes.

Same difference.
