Ipad airport express

For the occasions that the hotel doesn't have wifi, does anyone know how does one sets up airport express on the ipad?

Also having problem using Safari to access certain accounts. How do you get Firefox on ipad as safari won't load it for obvious reasons!

With thanks

Hi Baywatcher

iPad isn't a laptop so can only use app store apps, I think Firefox is not one of those. (There is an iPhone version however but if it is flash you need then I think you may be disappointed)

By setting up airport express do you mean that you carry an Airport express with you and plug it in to an ethernet cable in the hotel then want to configure it with the iPad?

If so, I am not sure unless you can use Safari to access the the settings on the airport express but not sure how you will go with authentication, I think it might depend on the system.

Good luck!

set up your airport express Wifi network at home, via your pc/mac, and then let the ipad search for the network that you created. (see apple help on how to do this)
for the browser, try opera browser instead of safari, i dont think there's a firefox for ipad...

Try Atomic Web Browser, its must more versatile than Safari for iPad and you can choose an option to get it to mimic Firefox. Multi-touch gestures are also supported.

Any more info/reviews in regards to Airport Express and taking it overseas on trips would be great.
