What cars do you CX and KA guys drive (or prefer to drive)?
Over at HKA, some pilots do not get paid enough for them to afford a car (a decent one anyway) to drive. For you CX and KA guys who do drive, what car(s) do you drive? I wonder if there is a correlation between what car you drive and what profession (or company) you are in. If there is a relationship, what brand would CX and KA guys drive? Toyota? Honda? Bmw? Mercedes? Audi?
I personally drive a Audi S4 (admittedly second hand), it's dosen't have the rear-wheel drive handling performance of a Bmw 3 series, but it's close and I like to hit the gas.

I'm with Cathay, and drive a 2005 4-cycle 18hp EZ-GO Golf Car with lift kit, covered top, full windshield, head lights and hitch. Sweet drive.
Got it for a steal at 1.3mill hk.

I'd bet that the choice of car for the 2500 pilots in Cathay is roughly the same as the choice of car for 2500 members of the wider population.
Come on mate.........surely you've got better things to think about!

Of course I don't see a correlation, I was saying in jest! I will kind of go insane at HKA if I don't keep my mind on other things once in a while. Driving is my way of relaxing and preparing for the political battles to wrestle power at HKA. So, what car, if any, do you drive?

Clearly you are a walking penis receptacle.
Don't drive...ex-wife got the car, and everything else, that's what happens to guys at CX and KA....and BA, QF, VS, LH, AF, AA, etc. etc.

Don't have a car. No point in owning one in Hong Kong - especially if you live in Central or DB. I don't understand the guys who have to have supercars here. There's no where you can drive it fast enough to appreciate it. it would be like owning a jet fighter but only being allowed to taxy it.
But what do I prefer to drive when I have to. Whatever hire car is the cheapest rate!

I'm so sorry to hear that your ex got your car, bushcat400, must have stir your bad memories, my apologies...but well that's life. Can be cruel can it? You take it in the chin or quit, or maybe fight, or conduct gureilla warfare at HKA...
It's precisely because HK has such good public transportation that I have a car, dosen't make sense does it, but I get to freedom to hit the gas, next best thing to flying.

Talking about supercars, Top gear did a race between a Burgatti Veyron and a Eurofighter typhoon from the RAF along a runway. Maybe pretty pointless, but utterly awesome to watch:

As for why there are so many top performing cars in HK despite having no roads to drive them, this news video explains why:

What kind of car to drive? Really!
This is a good example of what a waste of time PRUNE is becoming. I understand one doesn't need to read all the posts that one is not interested in, but sometimes I just can't help myself being incredulous as to what others think is important. Professional Aircrew??? No wonder management has a hard time taking many of us seriously.
Get onto Car and Driver for such topics and leave PRUNE for what it was designed for.

Iron Will, I think you need to have a sense of humour, and what makes you think you can dictate what and who can pose at Pprune? Oh you mean, all that pathetic Southeast Asians vs Aussies debate was really that useful? I'm just trying improve you guy's humourless lives. I mean, half the post here is dedicated to people attacking one another. No wonder the management can screw around with us.

So talking about what kind of car you drive is going to improve humour? Tell a joke then! I am not dictating anything about who or what can be posted on PRUNE, but really! If garbage is all you so called Professional Aviators have to think about then there really are no problems in aviation. Grow up and get real.
