Talking Bye Bye Ronal!!!!

Bye Ronal!!!! Good to see you go. Where are you going to go now? There are only a limited number of airlines that you can talk your way into and run into the ground.

Poor little guy, and such a nice person too.

Word is that "Sick Dick" is the next one on the chopping block. Mdm Wu Wu must be wetting herself with excitement.

The Bedwetter must be a bit nervous, Uncle Ronal must have a lot of good info. on him.

I really feel sorry for the guys that got sucked in by HKA, can't really hang 5hit on them as I was sucked in by the lies, deception, and plain BS too.
But I do get a laugh out of the fact that operating an A/C twice as big has just made their ups twice as big, and twice as many

As far as the bedwetter is concerned, do not expect him ( her ? ) to enforce any rules/regs at an airline that gave him his command, how he has not put a smoking hole in the ground is anyones guess. He was that incompetent he could not even sit in the jump seat at CX and eat sandwiches.
If you hear " ladies and gentlemen this in Captain E.C. speaking......", my advice is to evacuate via any exit, even if the a/c is moving, there is less risk of injury than flying with this corrupt idiot.

Good luck.

PS. Changi, so absolutely nothing has changed in 3 years ? in fact sounds like it has gotten worse

It's all politics not management at HKA

Wow! Ronal Lim terminated. This news will be celebrated by a lot of people. That guy was useless and backstabbing in the extreme.

Unfortunately, I'm not optimistic that someone with good airline experience will replace him. We need efficiency and reputation, not just cost cuts. Every other time a manager has left (for whatever reason) the replacement has been just as inexperienced and incompetant as the previous one. Only arse lickers and friends get the jobs. It's all about politics not management at HKA.

The HKA Ronal Memo

Well, I just got back from a trip and I found a HKA Memo in my inbox:

Ref: HR/MEM/1008-038

31 August 2010

Dear All,

Please be informed that Mr. R**** L** will be terminated from the position of Chief Operations Officer under Hong Kong Airlines Limited with immediate effect. Etc.

I hope that nobody posts the above on the Internet, it would be huge loss of face for him. How do you come back from that?

See you at at the Novotel, or perhaps at Pacific Coffee in Tung Chung. I suppose you will have some free time now.

All the best for those left at HKA, (and for those philippino guys who are about to join!). This is a positive step, but a long way to go yet.

Thumbs up Ronal Lim Farewell & The Office Punch Up

Bye Ronal, best of luck in your next hot-air filled venture!

The office punch-up was between "Stall Buffet Kenny" and "Dicky Stew", apparently quite a scene in the office with one of them coming away with some stitches to show for it. Rumours abound that it was over rostering a flight with a female FO.

HKA what's happening today?

Oh, where are we having drinks for Ronal?

"Female F/O"? Not much of a female.

KO and AB were always in the office when the Singa's moved into management. Now they realise that sucking up to them wasnt such a good idea. They did keep their jobs and got promoted. Now they are totally against the management. Does that make them one of us now? I doubt it. Both very dodgy individuals.

Where's Ronal's Face?

Hi Alex, I think that the bigger loss of face issue is that Ronal was knifed in the back by his toy boys, Mdm Wu Wu and Sick Dick. Little Dickie Lie now running around telling all how he is now going to be back in management soon!

Hong Kong Airlines postpones European expansion | ATW Online

Hong Kong Airlines Postpones European Expansion

Hong Kong Airlines has postponed opening new routes to Istanbul and Paris Charles de Gaulle from Hong Kong this year and instead will focus on launching services to Tokyo Haneda on Oct. 31 and Taipei in November. HKA Chairman Yang Jianhong said the decision was owing to fleet expansion and he reiterated the carrier’s commitment to long-haul market expansion remained unchanged (ATW Daily News, June 16).

HKA opened its first route to Moscow at the end of June and is scheduled to launch Hong Kong–Istanbul service in April 2011. HKA ordered 15 A350s and 10 A330s at July's Farnborough Airshow to facilitate its long-haul market expansion (ATW Daily News, July 21). Yang revealed the aircraft would be mainly used for opening new routes to the US and Africa.

HKA operates a fleet of 11aircraft comprising five 737-800s, two A330-200s, three 737-300 freighters and one A330-200 freighter.

Those boys are writing cheques that their bodies (and also their bankers) can't cash!!

WELL DONE TO RONAL AND THE SINGA WHORES!

Boocs, normally a 5hitbox operation like this would have been bankrupt and/or shutdown by the authorities years ago, but we are in corruption central where anything goes.

So to answer your question, it's going to take a while. ( or a smoking hole )

Red face How Many A330 Pilots Does HKA Have?

How many checked out A330 pilots does HKA have? I heard a rumour that they only had twelve pilots for three aircraft?

Is this a bold new step in redefining crewing ratios for the "Golden Rain of HKA"?

I thought they had 8.. it might be up to 12 now...

3 A330's parked against fence.

You can't offer less money than guys flying small corporate stuff and think you'll get them.. Especially as ALL the corporate guys are hiring (3X the wage)

What sort of pressure would the CAD be under at the moment to allow Mainland pilots in to HK to fly for HKA? I'm sure under the current conditions HKA's management could easily justify they cant crew the ordered A/C and there would be 1000's lined up at the border to come over and fly for half the current pay. Even if they offer 200,000 pm they will still be short.
