Think Capt pay at hk xpress is around HK$ 60,000 all in. About equal to most guys housing allowance here

IMHO, HKD 60,000 without any allowances is a little low for a Captain's position. Is that figure mentioned before tax ? and if i am not mistaken, tax in HK is approx. 15%. any inputs ?

Got an invite for an interview...
For the guys that are already there, is it worth it? Can you survive on what seems like very little? Time to command?

Cheers

For those considering this option, have a REAL think about living expenses in HKG. Pay particular attention to housing, schooling, groceries and entertainment. If you merely convert the HKD salary to a pacific peso currency (NZD/AUD) it will seem pretty good. But apply it to a HKG cost base and you'll find your quality of life is like it was those many years ago, living in a caravan park by the airport, hoping for a C210 job.

There is a reason CX and KA pay what they do. It's not out of generosity.
