Dear Mr Scroggs........
Dear Mr Scroggs,
Having heard WWW's and Pilot Pete's accounts of their rise to the rank of Thunder God I was wondering if you would mind giving a brief resume of your tale. Especially seeing as I'd like your job most of all.(perhaps we could swap?) If you like in return I could tell you the story of how I became an FI(R)!
cheers

MJR,
as Towers suggested, I deposited my story on this forum sometime around August last year. The thread was started by someone asking how WWW and I got where we are, and should be retrievable by searching.
A very brief precis for you:
1977: joined the RAF as student pilot.
1979: brief career as fighter pilot on Hunters, theoretically on my way to Lightnings.
1980: sanity prevailed; Multi-engine conversion and posting to Hercules at RAF Lyneham.
1983: Command on Hercules.
1987: To CFS to become a UAS QFI.
1987-91: QFI/CFI on Yorkshire UAS, RAF Finningley.
1991: back to Lyneham on the C130
1994-8: Instructor on C130.
1998: Left RAF, joined Virgin on B747-200.
2002: move to 747-400, now over 10,000hrs TT, including over 4000 in command of 4-engined ac.
OK?! <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

MRJ, I am closing this thread and have removed your psting priveleges until you get the email address in your profile fixed. You have selected the option to be notified by email whenever anyone responds to this thread but because the email address in your profile is no good I am receiving the bounced notifications.
Because of the amount of unnecessary email I receive every day is often supplemented by other peoples notifications due to their lack of maintenance of their registered email address I will block those people from making any more posts. Also, should they not fix their email address within 24 hours of the notification I will delete all posts made by that person from this bulletin board.
I strongly suggest that EVERYONE makes doubly sure that their email address in their profile is working. Also, if you select the option to have notifications of replies to your posts sent to you, please do me the favour of making sure your email address works before selecting that option!
