RAF Tristars - AGAIN!!!!

Dear All....

...Last November I asked if anyone could help with me getting pics of a TriStar-500 cockpit for a MS FlightSim add on I was involved in developing.

Thanks to Denzil et al who gave me steers, and pictures taken of the EAAC sim at Bournemouth.

Now, the aircraft is almost finished and the 216 livery will be used as it's primary colour scheme.

To that end.......

We would like to put it on the cover of the box, and maybe use the 216 logo and, if possible, receive "Official" Patronage from the Sqn (free copies available for sqn/gateway mag)

So, who should I contact?

I have some screen shots of the aircraft airborne and the attention to detail is stunning. (can mail to anyone who is interested)

It is being developed by an Austrian Software company and rendered by an American programmer so the UK needs an input!!

Any thoughts?? Would the CRO/OC 216/Stn Cdr be the people to approach or need to go higher?

AlanM

Question: Will it always remain "unserviceable to due a technical error?"

Mutleyfour, i am detecting an awful lot of resentment from you towards the tri-motor fleet. Is this justified or not?

As I told you last time you raised this, you need to contact DCC (the current name for DPR) at MoD. Last time I checked, they were in Main Building, but with all the juggling in town over the past year, that may have changed. BZZ personnel do not have the authority to give you what you want.

When I posted replies on this thread, it was a little fishing game betwix ABIW and myself, and guess who couldn't resist that tasty morsel!

Thats why I posted....bit of banter!

Haven't got a problem with 3 Stars, had many a good trip aboard, sipping fine wines, tucking into egon ronnay (spelling) food, whilst enjoying the in flight movies etc.

keep up the good work fellas!

If anyone wants to see the almost completed pics of the 216 aircraft see:

216 FlightSim TriStar

Go to THE PROJECT and then SCREENSHOTS

Any TriStar (or other!) people able to give comments?

Alan

AlanM,

Very good! Apart from all of the main instruments, not bad. You'll need to put on twenty years' worth of coffee/food stains and you'll be there.

Look forward to seeing the finished product.
