thats a great vid!
its amazing how old the planes look! oh wait, there the same ones we fly today.

though the lack of sky scrapers is noticable! no traffic on the bridge! and deserted beaches! ohhh the good old days!

NAMPS,
That's so cool

I have some photos of a flight from Mascot to Newcastle in the 30s. An aerial shot shows the airport consists of a couple of hangars, one with MASCOT painted on the roof

PM me your email if you'd like to see them

I had the 'pleasure' of ferrying VH-IAO, C172 from BK to JT in June '68.

It was a 'VERY much used' aircraft then...used only for circuit training I believe. All it had were the BASIC instruments, ASI, ALT, T&B, Compass - inc. oil press./ temps./ fuel gauges - and from memory, that was about the lot. I supplied the clock.
A very enjoyable trip - solo - my first east-west crossing. Done a few more ferries / navex's with students since, always enjoyable, and different...

Last saw Senja early 80's when she passed thru Kalgoorlie FSU on a 'big trip', a very nice lady.

Nice memories, thanks guys.
