767 Autobraking

Spanner Turner,
Thanks for the response re. Auto-trim.
Could I prevail upon you to provide the Auto-brake parameters for the B767-300 similar to your response regarding the B747-400 in another thread?
Sure, no problems.

The autobrake parameters for the 767-300 are basically the same as for the 747-400. However, here is a perfect example of the subtle differences between aircraft. The figures will depend upon what ‘TYPE’ of brakes are fitted. The 767-200 series aircraft were all fitted with steel brake units and I also believe that some of the very early -300 airframes also rolled out with steel brakes. All subsequent –300 767’s were fitted with carbon fibre brakes. Anyway, here are the figures for both.(note, the higher decel rate sought by the carbon brakes, yet with a lower max pressure)

Steel Brakes.

Level.................... Decel Rate.............................. Press(max)

1...............4.0 ft per second per second..................1500psi

2...............5.0 ft per sec/sec ..................................1750psi

3...............6.0 ft per sec/sec...................................2000psi

4...............7.5 ft per sec/sec...................................2400psi

MAX.......11.0 ft per sec/sec...................................3000psi

RTO........Not controlled........................................3000psi

Carbon Fibre Brakes.

Level...................Decel Rate................................Press(max)

1...............4.12 ft per second per second................1290psi

2...............5.12 ft per sec/sec.................................1500psi

3...............6.12 ft per sec/sec.................................1750psi

4...............7.62 ft per sec/sec.................................2050psi

MAX........11.12 ft per sec/sec...............................3000psi

RTO.........Not controlled......................................3000psi

Hope that helps !
