Does anybody have infomation regarding the accident to the Omani Air Force Super Lynx or fatalities.
Let's hope for the safety of the crew and everyone on board has survived our thoughts are with their families.
This is the accident involving a Super Lynx 300.

Initial report on Friday's Lynx Mk.120 crash as follows:
Omani helicopter crashes at sea, official news agency says
Associated Press August 19th
An Omani rescue helicopter has crashed into the Arabian Sea and rescue teams are searching for its crew, Oman's official news agency said Friday.
The Superlink helicopter was en route to rescue local sailors on a sinking boat when it crashed about 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) south of the capital, Muscat, a Sultanate Air Force official told the ONA agency.
The military official, who spoke under customary condition of anonymity, did not specify why the helicopter crashed but said searches for the crew were underway.

Oman off Salala
The incident is still in the Searching for the occupants phase, so speculation is neither helpful nor healthy, rumour network or not. Please be patient for 24 hours.
As and when the names and status are known I'll let you all know.

Tony Dean
Thanks OB,
Yes Tony Dean (Ex AAC) is on the missing list which we have known for a few days, but as can happen in these places mixed signals can cause a huge amount of greif if incorrectly reported. We wished to keep it nameless until 100% confirmed. Nothing further from the scene of accident yet and there are not too many dive recovery teams down there.
