Rotorheads Around the World (incl 'Views from the Cockpit')
SECC Helipad Glasgow, May this year...
Same day - Backup Police machine, visiting corporate 109 and Northern Lighthouse Board 105
"Crag Rot" off on a HEMS job...
Not sure who took these next three, if they are yours and you object, let me know...Nice pics though
Police 51 out on the West Coast of Scotland somewhere...(pilot wasn't me)
Took this one when we shut down after ferrying in the ground troops to a vulnerable missing person
- only realised the clearance (or lack thereof!) under the tail and under the camera ball afterwards...could have been expensive. You live and learn.

Hi Floppy Link,
Great pics above, just a quick question(s) if I may....(sorry if off topic)
I noticed that all of the EC135's shown have the low skids and yet my local police support unit, G-SURY, has a high skid option, I guess for all the goodies packed in underneath.? My questions are, do you know why the low skid option was put onto G-SPHU? Could it have been for the inflatables or was it just the way it was configured from the factory? If I'm right, both are T2 models(?)
Thanks in advance.....

cptjim,
Yes, G-SURY and G-SPHU are both T2's
To have the "mission pod" you have to have high skids. It could have been that the customer specified Floatation Gear, and the Pod is not approved with float gear fitted also. (You can have high skid gear with floats, because there are some Private machines in that configuration.)
I do believe that the pod is a McAlpines Modification, and all the role equipment is all fitted at McAlpines, so if the pod is not required, all the gadgets have to live elsewhere!
I do believe that the new South Wales machine will be the same.

Helieng got the answer in one I think.
Is TB from NZ still down your way?
Some more from the heliport...
Police 51 (spare) and Helimed 5, both operated by Bond
The NLB Bolkow, also operated by Bond
...and its driver JB - currently languishing between employers with a broken leg. Get well soon Jon!
Three more from the unidentified photographer on the West Coast...(pilot still wasn't me!)

I was operating the Kent AAmb as a floater a month or so back when, on the way out of Kings College LS, I heard TB's unmistakable dulcet tones on Heathrow.

Thought y'all might like these photos: The World Trade Center photo I took while in a CH-46E while on a formation flight to NYC back in 1993 - guess I got lucky with the camera. The CH-53E is a nice, politically incorrect camo job that a friend sent.

Operation on RV "Polarstern" in the Southern Atlantic
This is my first try to upload pic's. Hope it works.
The pictures are made in the Southern Atlantic and in Antarctica.
Just after putting the "Bomb" into it's rack.
Flying clean is even more fun.
Tail Rotor balance
BO 105 CBS 4 sitting on an Ice-floe
That' me with my Baby sitting on a floe.
