medicals

Hello all. I am a 42 year old FI and have been having a medical every 6 months since I was 40 as advised by my doctor due to single pilot ops, carrying passengers. He has now suggested that I may only need a medical every year as students are not passengers (which I know is true regarding the 90 day 3 take off and landings rule). I'm not sure what trial flights would be classed as if the person (passenger!) just wants a pleasure flight. What do other FIs over 40 do?

Same age, once a year. 'Pleasure Flights' are trial lessons unless your FTO also has an AOC. Ergo, no passengers carried.

thanks for that. Once a year it will be from now on.
