Wing loading and response to turbulent air

:confused::confused::confused:

I am happy with the argument that increasing wing sweep and reducing aspect ratio improve the ride in turbulent conditions but I have been unable to find a graphical or non-mathmatical explanation describing the effect of increasing wing loading. I understand that n (gust response) is inversely proportional to W/S (wing load) but I can't explain why that is the case. Can anyone help?

Thanks
