Squat Thrust,
The writing is on the wall that if you want to instruct at anything but a "Light Aircraft Pilot Licence" level - and there is no guarantee that will come to fruition - then the answer would be yes, as you will in all probability need a CPL. Beagle has rightly stressed that we must all air our concerns over EASA changes as, just like JARs, we will be swampled with yet more bureaucracy with no improvement in safety - I would even go so far as to state the opposite. Pilots now seem to be more preoccupied with ensuring that they comply with the legalities of the flight rather than ensuring things like W&B, proper flight planning, etc. are carried out. Aviate Navigate Communicate has been superseded by 'Legislate'! |
What next?

On all that I agree with you 100 per cent. |
